i would like to think this way however apple updating thier web page to a darker gunmetal shade has me thinking they are up to something
Does anybody know how long it would take for the new MBPs to be in the Apple stores after its announcement????
My experience says, they are usually there the same day. Some reports say that the shipments of new models are currently under process right now - which means some of the stores, especially in Europe, may already have the new MacBookPros, but they are all sealed and the stores are not going to open them until official announcement.
Tracking these shipments is like following Santa's trip during Christmas.
I'm new to Mac so maybe this might be obvious to you all...but IF I buy the new MBP (when it comes out later this month or March...or...) - will I get a disccount when buying Lion OS when it comes out this summer? Does anyone know if that might be a possibility?

I've heard some people hinting that Lion will be a free update due to the amount of cash Apple are bringing in from both app stores.
MBPs have a 3-5 day delay in the US online store.
There is not going to be an event on Tuesday, simply because today is President's Day. The soonest we can get an event it Wednesday or Thursday, and since everyone has been saying Thursday, I'd bank on that.
Actually, we may not even get a big press event. With Jobs' questionable health, he may not be up for it. They just might release a video to the press.

Actually that's another good point, Jobs could have made a pre-recorded video. I'd rather watch a video of him than a live event of Phil 'Buzzkill' Schiller any day.
I doubt steve would do that if he's sick. Maybe it'll just be a nice jonny ive video like always.

Im sure in theory, a lot of us Mac Enthusiasts with disposable funds can pool together thousands of dollars and set up a reward system/bounty for anyone in the world who is willing to risk their minimum wage jobs who works in stock for one of these places to open it and if they prove it and post pics they can retrieve the prize money as a reward!
