Not blown away?

I'm sorry but this is not something to be blown away by in my opinion. I'm still hoping for a little more change in design.

How dare you not be totally amazed and blown away at this sexy and gorgeous back of the case. It looks better than the front of the other guys!!!! Again amazing - This changes everything!!! We're skating where the puck is going to be...

We command you as fanboys, give us and all Apple products your undying loyalty!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always like the sleek look, but when I got my most recent touch, I got a Belkin rubberized skin, and I've grown to absolutely love it.
fwiw

The only thing that it's missing now to convince me to buy one is a TWO-YEAR CONTRACT from Rogers...

Seems to me Apple would rather users not need a case so the iPhone is more readily identifiable by others. :apple:

Seriously dude... if you wouldn't snarkily insult someone to their face (which I'm sure you wouldn't), what makes it ok to do it anonymously on-line?

Consider yourself called out simply as a token of all the others on-line who do the same thing.
Seriously dude, I say whatever I want , in person and online. It's IMPOSSIBLE that there is NO scratches on that phone. Impossible.

I thought the original iPhone was beautiful and had great build quality. The 3G design looked ok and had decent-poor build quality. The matte looks just looks like it is a typical cell phone.

I generally buy Apple products for two reasons:
1. Great software. Hopefully 3.0 is good, but it feels like a 2 year old OS from my usage.
2. Great design. The design is going backwards IMHO from the original.

Hopefully things change, but at least there are other options out there if I am not happy with the new phone.

Can't wait for Apple's new iPhone advert. The last ad made me want one so badly lol..

In February, the first images depicting the back casing of an unreleased iPhone began circulating around the Internet. The images showed a matte finish to the casing, but looked otherwise identical to the current iPhone enclosure. Recently-posted rumors now suggest that we could indeed see a matte casing for the next generation iPhone.

A new image we obtained is embedded above and shows the same matte case beside the current iPhone 3G, which is housed in a shinier plastic casing. The side-by-side image shows the clear difference between the two finishes. We have no further evidence that this case necessarily represents what the next iPhone will look like, but it does seem to be consistent with circulating rumors.

Apple is expected to launch a new iPhone this summer and may announce details at WWDC in early June.

AND the case clearly says 16GB. This surely ends the size spec arguments that where going on.

The updates will be a standard 16/32GB to replace the 8/16GB.

thanks lol

I'll show you pictures if you want, but trust me there isn't I check all the time, only on the bezel, where I pull it out of the dock etc.

Matte or not, I'm still getting a case for my new 32 GB iPhone...I just love how that looks and sounds. :apple::apple:

Hooray. I love the matte. I can't even stand to hold the current 3G iPhone. The glossy plastic creeps me out, I'm weird like that. I am a first generation iPhone owner who is anxiously waiting to upgrade to a 32gb matte iPhone 3.5G.

Matte may feel nice, but I sure like the glossy look a lot. (Mine looks like new after half a year--I doubt matte could manage that!)

In the end, I guess I'd pick feel/grip over looks, though. Especially if it's at all soft--that would be nicer to hold than the glossy.

I prefer matte too...

Apple used to do a fantastic matte finish on the old Newton MessagePad 2000s - just grippy enough to make it feel nice to hold without worrying about it slipping out of your hands.

And it looked cool too!

:)

RTP.

Matte just looks so much nicer. It's curious though that there hasn't been photos of the white matte. Maybe they're only going to offer one color. <shrugs>

Agreed, I think the iPhone is in desperate need of at least a new theme. Making and downloading my own themes via Winterboard on jailbroken iPhones you can really make the device look modern and up-to-date just by modifying the icons. The candy buttons seem pretty antiquated right now.

No more fingerprints
No more scratches
No more cracks

I will be a very happy customer if this is true.

I'm not insulting, spamming or harassing anyone. If telling you that you are full of it , hurts your feelings, then that is a personal problem I can not attend to.

I personally don't care... but the fact is that you CAN'T say what you want on this forum. ;)
