Not any more "tacky" than having an illuminated Apple logo on the back of a laptop. Not that I think that those are tacky, but they are one and the same IMO.

Half the people in this topic need to go look up what a prototype is, I feel it's pointless to keep repeating it but it ISN'T the retail version. It could look VASTLY different for all we know.
it would be nice to get a better shot of the circuit board and its components then we would be able to know if the apple logo lights up and if its CMDA ect...

all three iphones have had prototype leaks at the same time or earlier and look almost identical to there final versions.

The original post claimed the OS was "decidedly new". Does that mean OS 4, or something else? If something else, then I would say it was fake. They also said it wouldn't boot up after a while. I'm really amazed at people saying they won't buy this because it's so"ugly".If it has all the rumored upgrades I won't care if it's lime green with rhinestones(but I will put it in a case).

I voted negative because if that IS the new iPhone. Damn, glad I got my 3GS!! That thing is horrible, the volume buttons are like children's buttons.
