star formation does not look like an Apple.. wrong shape for one...

No one even assume, this all could be just a coincidence ? since there is no proof, i'm betting its another location Apple has kept secret.

I haven't seen inside the Bill Graham since Britney Spears threw that free Good Morning America concert.

Also, this has Apple written all over it. Probably expect invites to go out next tuesday.

They hold concerts at this location, so a full public launch of Apple Music with a full concert with a handful of artist.

I hope it's more, like a huge surprise, but my hunch is its all just Apple Music related.
Dr. Dre should be a headliner in that case.

Little known fact: An Apple office building was once used to store a pipe organ.

The San Francisco Civic Auditorium once housed one of the largest pipe organs in the world. But this grand instrument was damaged in the '89 Loma Prieta earthquake. Most of the organ's parts are stored in Brooks hall, where several major events in the history of rock music and personal computers were held (including the "Mother of all Demos", as well as some West Coast Computer Faires). Maybe some computer and/or music related company is finally having the organ restored? That would be big!

I hope not!! Apple needs to keep this simple. Period.... One unit for all that does everything we need.

That would cost too much:D I'm sure they want an entry level version for 149.00 or even less.

I can't see just one size fits all if it has an App Store and games, which take a huge amount of space. I want choices for storage if I'm going to use this for all my media and apps/games I purchase.

3 choices like other Apple products is very simple.

Oh and I wouldn't mind one with a built in router for even more money, my dream Apple TV is really a server with all my media that I can stream to all my Apple products, and have all my home automation.

So Apple Music is finally coming out of beta? :p

Interesting star formation...

Looks like something the Manson Family or Anton LeVay would appreciate.

Yeah, actually I hope the new Apple TV has 3 levels with different storage options, with an App Store it has to have more storage.

32gb $149
64gb $199
256gb $349

Or allow connected storage, not likely

I'll pay more for more storage.

For $350 you can get a PC with windows and use iTunes home share with about 2-3TB of storage. Link that to Apple TV or any iDevice on network. I don't always favor PC but so far it works quite well.

TV yes. Remote sold separately, starting at $299, available in aluminum, steel and rose gold.

I like that idea, could be why the mini is being introduced at this even, the mini would be a kick @ss remote:D

Actually why we are still using navigation on the screen is beyond me, when using an iPad and actually navigating on the iPad screen is way way better. Make an Apple TV app and do all the selecting and navigation right on the app.

My gut tells me that AppleTV may be a much bigger release than we expected!!

Media Streaming, Game playing, App Downloading, HomeKit Command Center, Phone and Video Conferencing device and more. It might also have a built in wifi router... It is possible that content deals are more complete than we imagined too. If this along with the standard iPhone release were true, then that explains why the venue is so big. As the AppleTV could be the center of all things Apple in the home (IE HomeKit) and there is so much to show around that and for people to demo. Truly Massive release!!

I feel homekit will be the biggest push and they need the space to do that.

Plus the biggest iPhone 's' model upgrade ever and maybe the iPad mini 4 with specs you would expect for a 2015 iPad.

Looks like a classy joint. Kinda landmarkey and such.
although i totally agree with your statement, I would like to say that for whatever reason it does not excite me at all where the event wil be. What does exite me is when it will be. I really do hope for a 9/9 anouncement. I would love to hear about the phone and decide if I should upgrade or stay with my six. right now I am actually even more excited about the possibility of a new ATV (having an app store and apps will be awesome).

I'm all for Wii-like remote, that's I feel is the best way to navigate a TV screen, but iPad app is a good idea, it will be just natural to have such app. We'll see if they "crack it"... I'm curious to see how usable this rumored touch based remote will be on a large TV screen.

Praying for a rose gold iPhone option with a black glass and white antenna bands like the Apple Watch equivalent.

What happened to the Moscone Center or the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts? Past Apple Events that took place in the Fall usually happened at these locals...

Sorry for the dumb question, but this was the 1st question that came to my mind when I read the headlines for this particular post...
