New iBook Ship date

It is now Monday morning in Shanghai. I am predicting the iBooks held up there will begin moving out today.

Just a reminder, if you ordered your iBook on Tuesday of last week and it shipped on the the 29th like mine, it has only been in the FedEx system one business day. If it doesn't arrive until the 2nd, it would have been 3 business days, exactly what you paid for with expedited shipping. It's not late per se, although it would of been nice if they didn't have to come all the way from China.

My status just changed to "picked up", and the estimated ship is August 3rd, 10:30AM, so I guess they should be shipping out today.

My status hasn't changed at all, it still says "At local FedEx facility" and it's still in China. Hope they get a move on soon so I get it before I move :)

I just called Apple and asked for a refund on the shipping. I got the 2 day shipping and even though I got all my accessories in 2 days...I got a shipping notice for the iBook on the 27th and it has been sitting in China since then. What is going on over there??I just wanna call FedEx and demand overnight shipping, this is ridiculous!

Ok...if it shipped on the 27th then two days later would be what? THE 29TH...or maybe even the 30th if it was running a little late....even if it was running really late it would be here by August 1st...but even the second is just too late

Has anyone talked to an Apple Rep or someone with FedEx to find out what the holdup is?? I would like to know what exactly is causing the problem
 
Does the UK Apple store have a tracking facility? Because if it does, I'm not seeing it. On my shipping email though I was given a 'delivery reference number' (or something like that anyway) which I have tried on the TNT website but it doesn't recognise it. Also, on my order status page, under shipping method, it says 'Merge in Transit NL'. Does that mean it's going via the Netherlands or something?
 
We Eurowheenies, at least we Finns, lack FedEx. So my packet got shipped by TNT. Seems to work faster?! I though FedEx was the fastest in die Welt.

I would guess mine would show the 4th as well considering I didn't choose 2 day shipping, but hey I can't complain, the 4th is my bday.

FedEx is based out of Memphis, like Delta is based out of Atlanta. It's their main hub for North America and most of their Express packages are routed through Memphis overnight.

Mine just says it is at Fedex in Shanghai China but no estimated delivery date.
 
Its Sunday. It is not going to update today. Just give it till Monday morning/early afternoon. There are going to be a lot of happy people in the next few days.
 
I checked earlier today and it said it was still in Shanghai... and now its all of a sudden in LA/Memphis... I'm assuming it means either LA or Memphis.. I live 1 hour south of LA... I guess I mite get it tmorrow!!! :D
 
i have no idea where mine is now.... i rung up apple and they said "somewhere between China and you house" lol.... that good or bad....
 
my ibook has been in Shanghai for the past 3 days now... it probably has been wantoned and stir-fried to perfection by now. Now to finish it down with a cold Tsingtao. Here to hopefully seeing it by tuesday. Cheers ;)

Yes, the wait is over! I've got my stock 12". I ordered it last tuesday, a few hours after the announcement. 6 days is not too bad i think. It seemed to be stuck in China for a while but i assume it was on its way.

Departing Shanghai -> 12 hours (10am Monday EDT)

West Coast to Memphis to Savannah -> 7 hours (5am Tuesday EDT)
Savannah Depot to Tybee Island -> 5 hours (by 10:30am Tuesday EDT)

Does your tracking have an estimated delivery yet? I was kind of skeptical it would make my August 3rd, 10:30AM delivery considering I only got the free shipping, but now it looks like i'll be a happy camper come Wednesday afternoon. Yesssss, finally, I know the wait will be worth it. Good luck to all in getting your iBooks.

Two tracking numbers

Hey, how does the tracking system work?

Got two numbers... I enter the one starting with a W and it tells me my order has shipped. The other one I guess can tell me where it is - but where do I type this number? I am using the euro store. I feel very stupid.

Can someone give me pointers?

Its not very clear for UK orders, but go to here and enter your delivery reference number (make sure you click the ref number radio button) then submit.

Waiting for my 12" iBook too! Says its still in China though :(
