New iBook Ship date

Did you enter the delivery reference number (the one that doesn't start with a W) and select 'reference number' instead of 'consignment number' on the form?

If you just ordered it might not show up straight away, even if the Apple Store says it has shipped . . .

Yeah I entered the delivery ref and checked the right box and everything...It shipped on Friday according to Apple. Does anyone have any idea when I can expect to recieve it because the wait is killing me lol.

I reckon sometime this week, mine was shipped FedEx on the 28th, but it was stuck in China for a little, and it should be in my hands August 3rd, 10:30AM according to FedEx. You'll definitely get yours this week if not, early next week.

It says 'Not Found' on mine also, and I ordered on the 26th July.

Edit: The tracking worked finally on this site:

My status is "accept scanned at EDC CNSHA50" - does that mean it is still in bloody Shanghai?

This works a charm. The TNT site also says not found for me too - but apecode gives a delivery estimate of 8th Aug for my iB so I guess TNT don't know about it yet...

This is just like Christmas - except they tell two weeks before that your laptop is coming, rather than two months before!

Uhh, is there any need to be so patronising? The only reason i want to know which day it'll arrive is so i can work from home to catch the delivery.

Anyone got the new ibook?

Today is August 1, 2005 in Hongkong. I got the new 12in ibook right at 7pm (HK Time).

Unluckily we don't have an official Apple Store, so we can only buy through the very few resellers. I was looking at the stock moving in the reseller shop at 7pm and was the first one who bought the new ibook.

In Hongkong, it's pretty much the same shipping time of buying from Apple Online Store and from a reseller. So, our earliest arrival date should be today.

Did you guys get yours?

My workplace is not a valid location on my credit card, and many companies will not ship to a non-credit card address for a first order.
 
Well, its now 10PM Shanghai time, so I guess according to what 53399 said, most of ours will be heading over by plane. My FedEx hasn't updated yet, hopefully it will in a little bit.

Your package shows the same shipment exception mine does. From reading past posts I seem to recall that the : "Package received after FedEx cutoff" note is a code FedEX uses for a variety of reasons and does not necessarily indicate the package didn't get shipped. I believe that both our packages are enroute and will probably arrive in the US later today. I wouldn't guarantee when it gets delivered, but I think sometime this week for sure.

Just called apple and got my refund back. Mines scheduled to be delivered on the 4th of August but thats 4 business days, not the 2-3 I paid for. Prompt refund issued.

Guess i'll see it on Thursday, meh

Shipping Update: my new BTO ibook 12" has landed in Indianapolis from China and has actually taken off again, headed for Washington, DC. Fedex might actually get it to me tomorrow!

Can't wait!
