New iMac With 'iPad Pro Design Language' and Thin Bezels Reportedly Coming at WWDC

23 inch needs to start with at least 256 gb, 27 inch needs to start with at least 512 GB, 1080P cam, New keyboard with USBC, back lighting, and an option for Touch Bar, and a new magic mouse and magic trackpad with USBC.
Come on Apple, all the macs have USBC, iPad Pro, magic keyboard have USBC, is it really that hard to make your Mac accessories have USBC. Even the AirPods Pro have a USBC cable in the box.
Sure, keep all the iPhones, and the lower end iPads on lightning, and even the other iPhone accessories like the battery case, AirPods, and the Apple TV remote, but for the Mac? Let’s get some professional ports, shall we?

I guess after 10 years they are way overdue to upgrade the design...In computer years that is an eternity.

Hopefully there is a more radical change than just bezel, SSD, and minor internal components. That would be really sad.
Some more interesting upgrades would be:
Pencil support
a full Touchscreen
Movable Arm (up-down and tiltable like Surface Studio).
User upgradable RAM and SSD

I'm half tempted to get a current iMac with Fusion Drive, and upgrade both the SSD & HDD with SSDs. I'd consider OWC, but I've had nothing but bad luck with their SSDs.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with their SSDs and have added them to several older Macs (2007-2012 models)

I’m ready to buy. Our late 2012 27” i7 iMac is still faster at rendering than my much newer MacBook Pro, but the architecture is starting to show signs of age. A fully decked out iMac today should carry us through to see how the next generation of processors works out.

It's about time. The current iMac is a double whammy - both ugly AND an all in one. While the All In One design ain't going anywhere, at least a customer should get something nice to look at.

Unless the display is a non-standard aspect ratio I'm not thrilled about the idea of losing the corners of media when playing at full screen

Would be a bit daft to have Intel chips if they also announce a transition to ARM at the same event as could put a number of buyers off.

Agreed, but I dont recall any recent rumours about a 2020 product with ARM - think they were all saying 2021.

This could be an interesting year. Maybe I can finally replace all my old gear in a row: iMac 2008 and iPhone 6.
Currently I'm planning to setup a home music studio and my choice at the time being would be an Mac mini with an 42.5" DELL screen. If they release a big iMac (something close to 40inc) maybe could be another option. But to be honest, I doubt that they move from 27 to 40, probably they will offer it with 32inch

Getting ready to upgrade from a 2011 iMac as well, it’s still a strong machine for being 9 years old.

Still a strong machine for sure, except for the underpowered and unreliable GPUs. It's a shame, really.

I would have been in the market for a bunch of 27" iMacs to replace our designers' 2010 Mac Pro towers this year, but with COVID-19 and the expectation that everyone will have to WFH at least part-time for the foreseeable future, I have to move the vast majority of my fleet to laptops.

I'm guessing: 128GB SSD drive, 8GB RAM.

Far, far too "skinny". I am a hobbyist Apple Fan Boy from way, way back and have a 2019 21`' iMac with 16MB and 500 GB SSD. While there are lots and lots of very nice EXTERNAL SSD drives available at reasonable prices, they do take away from the elegant appearance of the iMac, especially if you leave the drive connected (although I believe there are "shelves" designed to kinda keep them out off the way...). My 500GB is almost full. I wish I had opted for the 1TB, but I bought Reconditioned and one was not available.

Anyway, 128GB is far too small. I hope the RAM is user upgradable across the size line. But, my bet is the larger one will lose the ability to user upgrade the RAM.
