You gotta love the illusion that the screen has been increased by more than 1mm with how they have made the metal chassis wrap around the edge more.
Wow! Thanks for pointing this out. What a cheap trick. So with a black watch face the old one might actually look slicker as there is more glass and less body?

I just read an article that said the only 2 positives to the new watch 7 are:

Bigger screen which is not much.
Longer battery life.

other than that keep your watch 6.

Most people are not looking to upgrade from the series 6 to the 7 anyways, so any such comparison is moot in my book. The target market is the series 3 or 4 user, or an iPhone user who is not already using an Apple Watch.

It's only 2 positives if you have a 6. Most people upgrading won't be 6 owners. So yeah, if you got a 6 and a bigger screen isn't something you care about, this isn't the Apple Watch for you. Don't buy it and make those who do want it wait any longer than they have to.

No Apple Watch: Run, don't walk.
0~3: 100 percent upgrade.
4: Solid upgrade.
5~6: Really want a bigger screen? Get it, otherwise wait a year or two.

But for people like me with a 3, this is gonna be a huge upgrade. Twice the screen real estate!

Plus I think the slightly tweaked design actually looks better. Far better than the ugly box watch in those renders. Imagine that digging into your wrist...

Meh, it’s just not a big draw for me having the slightly thinner bezels. I’m still hoping for a thinner watch that isn’t so chunky.

I thought about upgrading from my S5... I just don't see a huge reason just for the sake of upgrading. My S5 still works great, battery is still lasting me all day without issue... Unless something happens and it breaks, I'll see what next year has to offer.

Just look at the featured image and I thought someone leaked the new Orange Apple Watch 😲

As someone said in a different thread. color options matter… So I am looking forward to my S6 to S7 upgrade for several reasons - bigger screen and QWERTY kb, better battery life/faster charging, and Starlight color vs silver/gold.

Plus it helps that by trading the S6 in at Apple it covers more than half the cost of a new S7. Maybe with Series 8 I go SS or Titanium but for now I’m good when it arrives tomorrow.

The S6 in this picture looks like when S6 is compared against S1. The bezells.

Series 6 owner (received as a gift) and that was my first smartwatch since the Pebble days. The watch faces I use most often have complications in all corners with a watch in the center, so nothing about a slightly larger screen makes me want to upgrade right now. Not a huge fan of the faces that are full screen images or lack at a glance complications. That is the only reason I'm even somewhat happy with the S6 as it is. More features need corner complications that support actual metrics instead of just an icon without info.

I want it but I have the 6 so I’ll just wait for the 8 to come out with the supposed new health features!!!

I don't really care what that writer thought of the screen. My eyes see a noticeably bigger screen and a worthwhile upgrade.

It is like people who choose not to see a movie based on a review, that's just someone's opinion. Make your own decisions!

Not longer battery life…just faster charge of the battery

All my watch faces have a black background so I never see the bezel.

This is what I hate about reviews. Nobody reviews a product as is they review it compared to the previous version of the product. Just tell me is the series 7 a good product or not. I don’t care about it compared to the series 6. Also why are reviewers assuming everyone who might get a series 7 currently has a series 6? The same thing is done with iPhone reviews. Every 13/13 Pro review compares it to the 12/12 Pro as if the only people buying a new iPhone this year are 12/12 Pro owners. It’s so dumb.

For me bigger is better! Upgrading from S4! Can’t wait! Those pictures makes it even more exciting!

I would have gotten one if Apple had normal neutral colors like gray and silver in the aluminum watches. Guess I'll wait for the 8. Big fail on Apple's part to not make the most popular colors in the volume model this year. I'll be holding onto my 4 for another year.
