Technology as class warfare. This is getting idiotic. It’s been well over 20 years and I’m still waiting for something that’s actually useful

I really hope they go with the flat edges with the next watch to match the design language of the current iPhones and iPads.

Wait, did they make the outer chassis wrap around the edges more, and call it thinner bezel?! That looks horrible!

I would love for Apple to create trade in incentives for Apple Watch like they did with iPhone 13?

Series 6 = $400 trade in
Series 5 = $350 trade in
Series 4 = $300 trade in
etc....

More watches can be sold if a trade in program were avaialble. Most people would not see the value of upgrading their watch, but every 2-3 years.

Most cars mid-cycle just get a cosmetic upgrade and no-one seems to moan too much about that......
I really don't understand - almost no one is upgrading from a series 6 to a series 7 just like no one is upgrading from a 2020 model of a car to a 2021 model.

in the old days, you buy a watch you like, and wear it for years and enjoy it. You don't change out the watch for a new watch just because they came out with a new design that has a bigger screen a few percent longer battery life.

So while I have disposable income and I could run out and buy this new watch, I think I'll hang onto my 5 longer, it works fine and I don't want to fall into the trap of upgrading for an incremental improvement that won't be easily noticeable. I don't look it at the watch thinking "man, I wish the screen was just 1mm bigger"

I will definitely make a change if they come out with a new form factor....if the watch feels like a completely new watch or design...that will actually get me excited.

Almost no one, except for currently 64 percent of the responders to that poll.

What color is the s7? Looks like gold but way too gold to be starlight, and not gold SS like it is sitting next to.

It's because the car design got stale looking and they need to keep it fresh. After one cycle, the design is scrapped for a completely new design.

In Apple's case, the design is exactly the same and they did 7 mid-cycle refreshes. It's hard to tell the difference between the different years on casual glance....my 5 looks about the same as my wife's 3, which looks like the 1.

I don’t get why a lot of people in videos are saying it’s like an S cycle upgrade.

It’s actually the opposite of an S cycle. No S cycle iPhones have ever had a different size screen with the same size body and kept the same processor.

The S cycle Apple Watch was the Series 6.

I think this larger screen is a nice, small step forward. The larger screen looks really nice in the pictures. Yeah, it’s not a greatly improved device, but it’s a step closer to a screen on a wrist.

Good counterpoint, I'll give you that.

Spend the night somewhere else and you’re still dragging the puck with you for that 8-minute charge. Have a day longer than 18 hours and it’s still dying before you’re done. It’s actually nothing like having longer battery life. I went to a Garmin Venu and, although it’s not perfect, it’s amazingly freeing to no longer worry about the battery for days on end.

If you have a black background you will not notice a difference
