Trying to figure out if that case is larger or smaller than the current one, but there’s nothing to add scale to the photo.

Update: The Weibo account these images originated from are reported to claim these are fake/knockoffs of the new AirPods, but regardless, the design is still believed to be representative.

Who would've thought!!! I'm shocked.

Just looking at the picture most anyone could tell that's not something Apple would release. The quality isn't there. Even for an Apple prototype.

Which remaining products don’t have a “Pro” version? When can I get a Pro Lightning cable? A Pro charging adapter? A Pro USB-C dongle?

I’m a Person Ready to Overpay and I need more Pro!

I really don’t think we’re getting a Keynote for these products. Why? Idk. But it just seems to be too late.

A press release, product reveal videos / marketing and commercials / articles will honestly do the job.

What else will help? The fact that YouTube reviewers and influencers probably already have the new AirPods, 16” MBP and whatever else was released.
I would tend to agree with you. From the rumors, the new AirPods will be nice but not necessarily Keynote worthy. I would have expected the 16" MBP to get a Keynote but it would not have to have one. My suspicion is that Apple was wanting to do a Keynote for the new AirPods, 16" MBP and the new Tile like tracking devices but at least one of these items was delayed for some reason and now they have to decide whether to release the other items without a Keynote or delay the release of new products until the last item is ready. After having several delayed / cancelled launches over the past couple of years (the original AirPods, AirPower, etc.) Apple may be gun shy about mentioning something in a Keynote before it is really ready to ship.

The image on the left looks like a miniature, dual toilet bowl or something. LOL

It's hard to imagine that the noise canceling would be that effective unless the design in the ear changes substantially. I have both over the ear and in the ear noise canceling headphones from Bose. The in the ear try very hard to make a good seal in the ear canal, but still are not as effective as the over the ear. Active noise canceling works best at a constant noise like the roar of a jet engine. It doesn't cut out random sounds like people talking etc. For that you need to seal the ear.
Also, I find I mainly use my noise canceling headphone on flights while watching movies from the plane, so you need to plug the headphones into the seat back. Not something that could be done with these wireless ones.

Apple can do literally whatever it wants.

Including releasing the Mac Pro, the 16" MacBook Pro, and AirPods 3 via press release on consecutive days.

Apple doesn't have a story to tell. They just have some products to get out. You people are way too hung up on your own wrong assumptions.

Thank you Mario but black colour option is in another castle.
Apple will release a black option for AirPods on the exact date time which they determine that the white color is not longer a necessary or effective marketing tool. When the law of diminishing returns kicks in, a black color will appear.

From the leaked icon/graphic, the design has changed substantially.

My own US$0.02. (Note, this is a U.S. centric point of view)

I think it unlikely that Apple will announce any new products for the remainder of 2019. The reason being is that retailers have already placed existing orders for existing products in anticipation holiday season sales. As good as Tim Cook is with supply chain, even Apple would not be able to fill the supply chain fast enough. The result would be suppressed holiday sales as people hold out for the new products.

Aww yea, more unrecyclable e-waste! Glad to hear nearly all of these will end up in landfills because everything is glued down and third party recyclers cannot safely dismantle these things.
Good on Apple for taking one for the environment!

They need to have more than just noise cancellation for me to upgrade.

A better sound quality must also be part of that "Pro" designation for me as I don't have major complaints with my current ones. Especially for the price.

What is the purpose of the blue tape on Apple products? When I got a new pair of Airpods (gen1) I remember there was a tiny piece of blue tape on the inside of the case. I hypothesized mine had been QC tested in the factory or something.

Anyone know?

The launching is not imminent as you say. There's no October event. At best, expect them to be released in March.

So, you’re saying it’s not possible for Apple to release these October 29, a day before their quarterly earnings? They _don’t_ have to have a keynote, they could do a ‘silent release’, as they have in the past with other various products.

I really hope this is fake, because it seems as if these new airpords are as uncomfortable as the current ones.. but if they are real i'd name them "Apple AirPods One Has Just Fallen Out PRO"

The picture is of fake AirPods, those aren’t an Apple product.
