Waiting for Prosser to repeat the obvious but with a specific time added just to attempt some sort of legitimacy

Still torn between this (256GB) or the 2020 Pro (128GB) for the same price more or less.

I bought my Air only in July, fully knowing I was going to feel buyers remorse if a new Air launched in Sept. Thankfully, they increased the price by a 100 bucks, giving features that didn't really matter to me - leaving me a lot happier :)
Still worth the $100.

I have bought all of my iDevices except our 2020 SE and an Apple Watch from Swappa and never been disappointed. That’s 4 Air 2s, 3 iPhones, 3 Apple TVs, 2 IPP 10.5s, an iPad Mini 4, a S3 LTE, and a S0 watch.

Swappa does not exist in Europe where I live. There are similar services, of course, but I prefer dealing directly with Apple and be covered by their 2-year warranty if things go wrong.

Bought the 3rd generation back in March when the pandemic hit. Really wish I had held out for one of these.

I did exactly the same as you, but i used my ipad air 3 a lot during the lockdown. It was/is still a fantastic device with its 10.5” laminated p3 colour gamut screen and A12 chip so i dont regret buying it at all.

I really dont understand why some members are saying that the 64gb does not have enough storage, when we can add usb c external storage easily. Is there something im missing, or is it just the extra step of plugging in the storage that people dont like?

Sort of defeats the object of portability though, people don’t want to have to carry round external storage...

Even pre-CoViD FaceID on the iPad didn't work well... at least if you use the device in landscape or don't want to lift it up every time it lies on the table. "FaceID only" in a tablet imho was a design failure from the beginning...
I don't know about 'failure' but I don't like it on my iPad Pro. It takes too long. Maybe usage metrics has shown them that it's not as popular as they'd hoped so it's not going to filter down to the non-pro devices...

mm.....Just few days back got my lovely Samsung tab S7+. 128 GB put my 512 GB SD Card,. 5G Capable,12-4 indes Super AMOLED
screen WQHD Resolution $ 1000.. Similar spec Pad Pro cat $2000 here......But this Looks great but wont buy because You cant make calls, or use Whatapp in Pads

A14 benchmarks coming up. 😁
I'm guessing they'll actually arrive in customers hands just before, or just after, the iPhone presentation, depending on how Apple wants to play it - either they get to do their whole big reveal of the performance, or Tim can walk in grinning and saying, "well, by now you may have seen the benchmarks."

I am curious to know how good the power button finger print sensor is. I know a lot of people think this as a good solution, especially if it were to come on a full screen SE. IMO, a back sensor on a phone is a lot more ergonomic than on power button

You ask a question as if this were some newly invented technology that hasn't been available for 7+ years and proven to be highly effective.

Before knock knock technology was on android, you had to press the power button to turn on the phone. Tons of devices used this or integrated power on/off into the fingerprint sensor itself.

I think the only reason Apple never pushed this out to i-devices was because they came up with Face ID instead.

They could have also embedded the reader in the screen, but in the power button is much cheaper.

Just don’t understand why someone would pick this up over a second hand iPad Pro 11 for roughly the same cost. Fast refresh > A14

Yeah, I was almost a buy for this then realised I would lose ProMotion. It really is hard to go back go slower refresh rates when you're used to buttery-smooth scrolling. Fingers crossed that miniLED iPad Pro with an A14X is out sooner rather than later!

I really want one of these but the combination of that and (potentially) extra RAM on the Pro gives me pause.

Why considered that you grip a phone from the sides and not the back?
