I won’t buy another iPhone with face ID. What a useless thing that has been. With masks on these days I type my stupid PIN 100x a day like it’s 2007
Xperia xz has antennas all around the frame. And?
I read this as “Air ID sensor” and thought I missed the built-in breathalyzer announcement. It was interesting to hear about the Air’s ID sensor and the antenna.
Will try to wait on sales for the Air...Try.![]()
It’s right up alongside of android “innovation” if increasing screen resolution, if that’s the case.So sad that Apple "Innovation" is moving an existing technology from one button to another.
This is probably why the iPhone 12 has been delayed. Midway through the pandemic they realized this virus isn’t going anywhere and Face ID is a huge inconvenience; not to mention health risk since you sometimes have to remove it. Also, the dial pad doesn’t appear fast enough at times.
It’s wishful thinking, but I certainly hope it does make it in as a last minute improvement. Under the screen sonar ID is just not where it needs to be yet, plus a physical Touch ID could be used for 2fa.
Gloves are no better for fingerprints authentication.I won’t buy another iPhone with face ID. What a useless thing that has been. With masks on these days I type my stupid PIN 100x a day like it’s 2007
not sexism from my view, she just does alot of cringe stuff initially, i'm still can't get the image of her dancing like a sarcastic 12 year old in the apple store many years ago.Haven't watched the full thing yet, so I'm interested to hear how something that every other phone manufacturer has is an "incredible feat of engineering," but we shall see! lol
Gotta say, so cool that iJustine still has such a massive following 13 years after the introduction of the original iPhone. I see a lot of sexism thrown towards her and her sister, but she absolutely kills it.
gloves are not mandatory, people need to stop using the glove counter point. they won't stop you from going into the store without gloves, but they will stop you if you don't wear mask.Gloves are no better for fingerprints authentication.
Lol? "every other phone manufacturer" don't have a fingerprint reader on the power button. Most have the large round reader on the back of the phone.Haven't watched the full thing yet, so I'm interested to hear how something that every other phone manufacturer has is an "incredible feat of engineering," but we shall see! lol
"Most" being the Google Pixel phones no one buys?Lol? "every other phone manufacturer" don't have a fingerprint reader on the power button. Most have the large round reader on the back of the phone.
Also, not every fingerprint reader have the same sensitivity/specificity. This has been shown every year when some manufacturer bring out some cheap phone with a ****** fingerprint reader or ****** face reader.
Get over it and bring the damn home button back. Was it really so evil?
Lies. I appreciate you as a forum brother, but I appreciate if you stopped your lies. Samsung's fingerprint reader is as if not even MORE secure than TouchID. Samsung intergrated it into the power button first because they are simply superior. In addition, Samsung's facial recognition is also just as secure if not MORE than FaceID.
As for all that smoke about interference between radio waves and voodoo or whatever, I'm not a professional engineer, but I'm sure even I know how to figure out such basic things.
Step 1. Move fingerprint scanner from Home button to Power button.
Step 2. Put radio module in radio module cavity.
Step 3. Done.
Simple.

LOL. *Speaking* of marketing. Sony and Xiaomi checked a box, anyway, and that's enough for people capable of only shallow comparisons. You don't know how actually secure those other implementations were of course, and you probably don't much care, because only Apple devices get subjected to that kind of scrutiny. Sort of like FaceID. Samsung tries to ape Apple's FaceID and it turns out the simplest ruses can fool it. Does it make headlines? Not especially. It's "similar" so in your mind, it's the "same".I think he meant Marketing.
Remember, we first saw this technology from Sony back in 2016. Today, the same technology can be found in Xiaomi phones under $300.
Are you lying on purpose? Or just talking through your hat?Lies. I appreciate you as a forum brother, but I appreciate if you stopped your lies. ...
Can we now integrate it into everything else that has a power button but not Touch ID? Choice is good.
then lets add it to everything else so we don't have to deal with junky faceid anymore

most people don't wear gloves year round
Yeah, I thought the Three Gorges Dam and Burj Khalifa were impressive but then Apple moved the touch sensor from the front to the top of an iPad and I was blown away.
