Anybody know if these iPads use that 6000 series aluminum?
Apple SHOULD use 7075 and treat/age it to T6. But-you-know-they-ain't.

I checked out a new iPad Pro in Target the other day, and I have to say that it just felt cheap to me compared to older iPads. I don't know why - the impression I had was it was less solid and quality.
And you are writing comments on a website called macrumors. Did you try to type macramé and just misspell it?Shocking opinion from a magazine that is all about Apple products! /s

sorry, are they ment to be solid or they meant to do the job(technical job). May you also compare the Airplanes, why the fuc are they made from Aluminium and not stainless steel ?

Indeed, and while I've not followed this topic terribly closely, I do find the same arguments for the iPad as those refuting the issue with the iPhone 6 plus, i.e., blame the owner, arguing its not wide spread. The increased ability for the iPad chassis to flex might very well be the "silent killer" of these new iPad Pros
I know you’re joking but titanium isn’t even necessary. They just need to make the aluminum a few micrometers thicker and make sure there aren’t large holes/openings in the structure causing weak points.
All of these companies making these devices (Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft, etc.) spend billions on research & development. Apple knows exactly how many micrometers thick the metal is and (In this case) they didn’t make it thicker because it’s less profitable. In this case they made it too thin and/or didn’t add any inner structural stabilizing.

shhh... it needs pure titanium![]()
Apple copied the Surface pen but should've copied the build quality also.

Wow. It’s ridiculous how much more you get with the surface pro for $800.
Even more so with Black Friday deals like $700 for Surface Pro 6 i5/8GB/128GB bundle with Signature Alcantara keyboard. Compare to the iPro Pad running toyOS with keyboard for $1350.

What ridiculous is how many more headaches you get with windows. I require windows but would take an iPad every day of the week over an surface if I could.Wow. It’s ridiculous how much more you get with the surface pro for $800....
That is indeed quite a deal. Appears to be sold out at all locations though.

A tricycle has less maintenance than a car but no one is going to use it as a daily commuter. Plus, people do more than watch Netflix and surf Facebook for work.
