Why shoot an iPhone 7 with an iPhone 6(s), when you can use your iPhone 2g and upload the video in 240p ?

The home button seems to be slightly recessed just like the iPhone 6S.

There were a lot of rumors suggesting it wasn't going to be a physical button. Either the rumors were wrong or this is a fake. Thoughts?

So Apple's designers spent 2 years designing that?

Seriously, Apple.... You've lost your magic.

I would normally complain about the clear lack of effort put into designing this phone, but I'm gonna give Apple the benefit of the doubt with this one. Hopefully they took the time they saved over the last 2 years designing this to totally revamp next year's model.

They get one more shot for next year before I totally give up on their ability to innovate.

Sure. The good old days...

Then you defeat the purpose of a beautiful design by covering it up with a case. Wait for iPhone 8 in 2017. Back to the iPhone 4 series and those good old days you speak of...

I never shattered any glass on my iPhone 4 but have done so twice on my iPhone 6. Go figure. This might be a complete coincidence but possiblely the glass didn't quite reach the edge of the phone as much on the iPhone 4 as it does on the iPhone 6. Moreover, the iPhone 6 is considered to be a more slippery design.

I'm starting to think the phone in this video is a fake. The very intentional way he flips it over to show the screen is very different from the natural way he shows us the screen of the iPhone 6S. Also, he turns the screen on and off on the 6S to show us the display, but the screen is already on on the 7, and he never touches it or turns it off.

Also, as other people have pointed out, the lightning connector does look bigger, but that could just be darker.

The design doesn't bother me.

Sure, I understand how people want some kind of radical new design but in general the 6 series, although somewhat bland and approaching the two-year-old mark, isn't awful.

In comparison, the iPhone 4 and 5 series are a very similar design to each other and that design survived four cycles.
OK so, the 5 did have a particular design update with the accommodation of the taller screen, exterior coloring, and was also slightly thinner, but overall they were very similar, design-wise.
On that note, the 6 design is only at its third cycle in comparison, although with subtler changes.

Considering how popular the iPhone SE is - simply changing the design for the sake of it doesn't always matter.
The SE is a very capable phone and people love that design - it's considered a 'classic' now.

As far as smartphones go - the designs of all of the leading current models are really very similar when you think about it - reasonably thin, a screen, a couple of side buttons, a home button and a camera hole. It's hard to tell many of them apart from a distance, especially since so many people use cases. The Samsung Galaxy Edge with its arguably gimmicky side screen probably the exception as far as design goes.

Sure, maybe it's Apple's prerogative to come up with the 'best' aesthetic design but what I'm really interested in is what is under the hood.
I'm wanting the best possible camera I can get in an iPhone - looks like the iPhone 7 might deliver that. We'll have to see.
I spend more time looking at the screen of my phone to take and edit photos than I do admiring its physical look, turning it over to look at the back of it...

So yeah - I'm not worried about they way this looks.
Besides the phones usually look way better in the flesh and I always use a case which covers up the back so...

At least if the external design doesn't fancy some people so much, maybe some would be less anxious and just use the damn thing instead of treating it like some diamond necklace.

Since I rotate between seven different gadgets including my two tablets, I really could less of appearance. A mediocre design but I prefer comfort/ergonomics over aesthetics. Rather hold a comfortable phone in my hand than one that looks better. Rather have 130mm / "4.5 iPhone than a prettier one than the 4 & 5 series. I can't find phones which has the same comfort as the Moto E2 which is the most comfortable to hold since the Nexus One. Have to go back to 2012-2013 like the Xperia acro S, ZR, Moto X & G to find a phone as comfortable as the E2.

No design whether a phone uses aluminum or glass is truly perfect. Glass shatters. Aluminum scrapes, dents, and chip off. There is always drawbacks. Even the color you choose may have issues like that slate iPhone 5...

They're only stereo if you're watching a lot of vertical videos.

Gotta say I don't really get the 2nd speaker. What, it's just louder? I guess that's an advantage?

Don't forget the awesome separation of channels... Even sticking your nose right on the screen won't solve that.

Dual speakers won't make any sense. I would rather have one with higher audio quality than two inferior ones.

At least the iphone 4's back was very easily removed and replaced, soon looking as good as new.
A dented iphone 6 (onwards) is forever, a dented iphone 6.

The iPhone 6S gave me no incentive to upgrade from my iPhone 6. Receiving it as a work-provided phone from my employer a few months ago even made me realize I actually prefer the predecessor. The 6 is noticeably lighter than the 6S and slightly thinner, while 3D Touch, Live Photos and other 6S-features feel gimmicky, at best.

Now the iPhone 7 comes along, bringing an even uglier camera bump (quite an accomplishment, Apple!) and also removing the headphone jack which I use daily.

Apple seriously needs to have a pair of aces up its sleeve, otherwise I don't see how the iPhone 7 will capture my interest in the slightest.

At this point it looks like it's only going to attract people who want a better camera. Unless it has a bigger battery, more storage, more ram, or a big feature I don't see this attracting people from the 6/6s unless they just want a newer phone.

apple's marketing team in action again - where do they find these chaps that do the videos, very clever though.

I do hope Eddie Cue takes over the key note for the iPhone from phil.schiller 'this is our most advanced iPhone yet' is wearing thin plus I think Eddie is much better, and a more believable spokesperson for apple.
