I've read that the order number works, but haven't tried (I recall something about starting with the "W" and dropping the last two digits - yep, just tried minus the last two digits, on the website, and that works). I signed up for UPS My Choice a while back (free), so when I heard that stuff was shipping, I just opened the UPS app and there it was.

(Once you're registered with UPS, they'll alert you to any inbound package to your name/address - you don't need to enter tracking numbers. Pretty useful. FedEx has something similar. Actually, so does USPS - "Informed Delivery".)
that worked for me, thanks..... starting with "W" from order number and dropping last two digits... package in transit from ZhengZhou since 16th 10pm (local time)

Lol. Absolutely 100% not photoshop. Or any other photo editing software at all. Actually spur of the moment idea, and one that took under 30 seconds to go from concept to photo. Didn’t involve printing it or anything like that either. Actually pretty clever on my part of I do say so myself.
It's an "actual-size" image of the back of the new iPhone, turned upside down, displayed on the screen of his iPhone X or XS, which he is holding with the screen facing out, and upside down (top of phone in his palm, covering up the notch - this is why the image must be rotated 180 degrees). Explains the odd black border around the edge, and the "familiar" shadows. Possibly the phone is auto-rotating the image to "right side up" on the upside down phone, which would mean no photo editing whatsoever.

Correct. All shipments come in from China go to Anchorage, then Nashville (IIRC) for the big sort, then BACK to Anchorage for us Alaskans. Painful to see that in the shipping process. In years past, however, we still got them on release day (once or twice even the eve before). Starting last year they made some change. Nothing to get upset about, just miss the "good ol days". :)

You'd think they could set aside some Alaska boxes into specific pallets so while it makes a pit stop they just take those off the plane.

Still, these shipments make their way into the US for sorting days ahead of release and they're dispersed across the contiguous US for launch day deliveries and Apple store launches. They can't get them to Alaska on time? Does Amazon prime support Alaska?

This isn't an entitlement thing, I'm just curious how they're not currently making that happen.

(I'm not in Alaska so I have no stock in Apple actually getting this done.)

Glad to hear some things are getting pushed back to later dates (mine hasn't...yet). Most likely good for my $AAPL

Apple should know how many phones they have in stock. Existing orders being pushed back suggests delivery/supply problems or they've increased their estimates for the number of broken devices that need returns.

Demand should affect new orders not ones already placed and given a delivery quote.

The real question...

Is the 11 pro wireless charging 15W while 11 only 7.5W ?

Software locked hardware. So Pro.

My series 5 watch is still preparing to ship but I think in the UK stuff can ship a bit later as it's a much smaller country to move stuff around. That said it is now due on the 23rd after initially saying the 20th when I ordered, but I do live in the north of Scotland so stuff often takes an extra day or so to make it up here...

Very disappointing experience.
I just had a call with Apple. Their explanation for 3 week slip is that I was just too late (my preorder was made 1 minute after preorder started).

I cancelled the preorder I am quite confident I will buy it from reseller on Friday...
Walk in and walk out with iPhone but I am tired of crap experience like this.

After 4 days they change delivery date from 20 to 03 oct. system was overloaded...
B...ch please.

That explanation is a joke. Apparently Apple can be trusted to perform secure authorisation of thousands of dollars but is incapable of taking a stock number and subtracting 1 every time a phone order goes through. o_O

My fellow Apple lover. Good morning! Let’s just try to be positive about this. I don’t even know if I’m getting my phone Friday but the order is in and I’m content with that. It’s a phone! First. World. Problem. We are 2 of literally millions of people that ordered a phone so if the dates slip and we get our phones later so be it. We always want to blame Apple when something doesn’t go our way and that’s just...crazy! I hope you have a great day and I hope your phone comes earlier than expected so you can be happy! :)

Please don’t get me wrong, I am not made about slip it can happen, I am mad about misinformation.
They moved my order by 3 weeks while on Sunday delivery dates were for 24 sep and what’s most frustrating I could use other sources to secure my order but I was living in a bliss for 4 days before I could react...

Gotcha!! I agree! I think they need an iPhone upgrade department that can help with specific questions about ordering. The blanket answers can cause frustration because it doesn’t make sense! I understand now friend! Well I hope we meet again on this forum talking about how awesome our phones are...when we get them lol!! I hope you have a great day!!

I have ordered from T-Mobile, any luck for t-mobile orders?
anyone got shipment notifications?
I ordered max pro max green

Who cares about getting notified of delivery. Lol. When that driver hands the box to me that’s all the notification I need. The fun is in tracking it inch by inch as it makes its way across the world.
Depending on where you live, UPS may not ask for signature and just leave the package AND there are reports of thefts from the recipient's property. If you don't have this problem, then good for you but this is occurring and not in one particular location.

Love when tracking shows stuff like this. My iPhone left ZhengZhou, arrived at ZhengZhou 15 minutes later. (This was the departure from warehouse to airport staging.) Then it left ZhengZhou, only to arrive in Incheon, Korea 1 minute later. Yet UPS’ non-detailed tracking still has it in ZhengZhou. The curiosity is, will it actually fly to Alaska from Incheon or ZhengZhou.

Anyone who ordered from ATT received a tracking number? Are they shipping Fed Ex or UPS?

Can our orders still be tracked if we are picking up at the Apple store? I tried using my order number (starting with W and leaving out the last two digits) and the stores’ zip code, but still can’t pull up anything:(

I pre-ordered mine from my carrier and they're holding them until Friday the 20th and shipping then. Sucks, but I'll see it after the 23rd.

Photoshop is fun
He said he didn't use Photoshop sheesh give him slack, he used Pixelmator!

T-Mobile and what sucks is they charged me yesterday!
I'm with ATT, guess I'll just keep checking in on their app. They charged me 5 minutes after I made upgrade purchase on Friday. Tried the "W" trick with order number, phone number etc. on UPS, nothing comes up.

The rep told me they'll charge when it ships, so when I called back asking why haven't I received any tracking they said it's held until Friday then it'll be released.

So I guess since it's presumably packaged and sitting in a box pulled from their inventory it counts as a "shipped" state.

Hi everyone!:)
Ordered my :apple: iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB midnight green exactly when stored opened online.
Status today is still "preparing shipping" grrrrrr.... but with arrival date 20th of September so this friday. How can that be?
I am definitely nervous! ;)
Cheers from Switzerland

Apparently we in Europe don’t have access to tracking info prior to Apple’s update of its own order system.

That sucks! cheers from Switzerland

Mine states "Preparing to ship", Delivery by date, Sept 20, 2019. I ordered at ATT when online sales opened. Charged 5 mins after purchase was sent.

Mine only has the first bit where it departed and arrived in ZhengZhou in a short time frame. Hoping mine left ZhengZhou by now and UPS just hasn't updated it.
