Might the iProd be the 7 inch iPad recently rumored? And perhaps we are seeing a t-mobile GSM and a CDMA (China or Verizon) iPhone, not a new form factor of any type.

Imma be peeved if we see an iPad revision this soon, as I finally bought one on Saturday.

So??? Are you glad you bought one?

I'd be surprised if they release a new version so soon after the first - especially since they've just launched in some countries.

lol i read the story on Gizmodo [I know]
and its funny how they "suggest" a Verizon iPhone is in the code

Sure "3,2" and "3,3" could indicate a new iPhone but what makes them labeled as CDMA??
If it were really a CDMA iPhone, i wouldnt see it coming until June/July for Verizon. A story way back said something about a CDMA iPhone would be first intoduced in China, of course its all speculation but thats what i think will happen

Doubtful. Apple hasn't even completed the international rollout of the existing device.

More likely, it would be a second iPad model, a smaller unit (competes more directly with eReaders on the market, less expensive to boot).

People still read Gizmodo?

You're right on the money.

Not as peeved as the Fandroids when new products land every 3weeks. I can see an iPad 2 at the earliest in November, but it'll probably be January - following the cycle.

Oddly enough, the Fandroids cheer every time a new Android device is announced. "I'm soooo gonna get this!" Of course they said that about the device that was released 2 weeks previous, and the device released one month previous to that...

I hope Apple sticks to its regular cycle in this case. I banked my buyer's remorse on it.

Absolutely. This thing far surpasses my expectations. The "big iPod touch" argument seems to hold little water once you start using it, as it's mainly the software (combined with the huge display) that makes this thing so phenomenal. The thoughtful design and polish on some of these apps really shine - which is a serious shortcoming on the Android side of things. Sure, we'll see Android tablets with "ZOMG USB CONNECTOR AND MEMORY CARD SLOT!" in the very near future, but are they going to have any iPad-caliber software? No.

I love the iPad version of Reeder. Ditto for Evernote. Intro to Math for the kids is a joy. And Osmos HD is an amazing game experience. I can't wait to see more high-caliber software come out for this thing. (Not a huge fan of paying double the prices of iPhone apps, though I do recognize that iPhone app pricing has been lowered to an unsustainable level for all but the highest-volume apps.)

iPad = best portable Internet browsing device ever.

What is this obsession with ppl wanting a camera (not to be confused with a webcam) on the iPad? Who in their right mind would use a big ol' iPad to take pictures??

Why is everyone shocked?

It took Apple 18 months to design/prototype/test the iPhone 4 (Apple publicly stated this). This could be 2 different iPhone 5s.....just in case one does not work. :)

Who's shocked? I just read all of these comments I didn't read a single one that was "shocked"? Who are you talking about?
Exactly. I can't stand people who criticize MacRumors for posting things like this. If you feel that the news is insignificant, don't read it!

i dont think they're gonna bring out an iphone 4 with a new antenna.. cause everyone who's got the current iphone 4 would start complaining.
so maybe its the iphone 5.. same design, with a metal back, 64gb and 8mp cam.

Coming out earlier than expected?

I really want an iPad 2.0 with a camera and more RAM for it to be a little more 'future proof' (considering that the iPhone has already twice as much.
But i'm doubtful. As it's been said, they still don't finish the international rollout, but I wonder...

Could they be holding off the release of iO.S 4 for iPad because of new features such as FaceTime coming with new hardware? I mean, couldn't they just keep the current iPad as the entry model and release camera equipped ones simultaneously but with a higher price tag?

Just sayin'
