Who cares. Just another S year.

Not everyone upgrades every year. 11 will probably appeal to plenty of people who has a 6, 7, or 8 model.

I think ac's point is more that S years don't introduce new form factors and are an incremental performance boosts which aren't very exciting.

Not that people aren't buying S models, but people are really starting to push out how often they upgrade based on cost and not needing a performance increase at this point in the smart phone life cycle. Another reason for people to just wait and not get excited about a new S model. Personally, if I had 7 or 8 in good shape I hold off at least another year probably even if I had a 6S. 6 ya probably time to upgrade. ;)

Is it too much to ask for a normal sized phone for around $500? I am still using my 6s. Would like slightly more screen without larger size.

Buy a used iphone X? Though I'd love to see an iphone SE update with a slightly larger screen.

Apple is notoriously tight on all of their keynote addresses. They have them scripted down to the minute. Therefore, if the keynote starts at 9am (pacific time) Apple is fairly certain that they will be showing off pictures of the new iPhone 41 minutes into the keynote (at 9:41am).

It’s the same reason we can infer the date of the keynote, because of the date on the calendar app

Keynotes always start at 10 now

but it was 9:41 when jobs first introduced the first iPhone.

I’m not buying another phone with an intel chip. I prefer to be able to talk on the phone versus dropped calls and texts that hang for minutes before sending with “2 bars of lte”.

One job Apple, make a phone that can compete with other phones at being a phone.

Show me the watch series 5
Have you seen how the new Chip performs? No? Thought so.

Sounds like you’ve got issues with your cell carrier- not the phone. Avoid T-Mobile and AT&T.

Is there anything beta-ey about that image? To me it looks like it could be taken from iOS 12 .

Only getting Watch 5 and the new Mac Pro this year. I don’t see myself upgrading the iPhone yet. I’m still happy with my iPhone 7. I made sure I got the battery replaced while I still had AppleCare so it should be good for a while.

I’ve a feeling I’ll get at least three years from my XS Max.

This year is a skip as I’m really not fussed by triple cameras - the current camera is already beyond my abilities or needs - and no way am I getting the first wave of 5G phones, even from Apple.

Besides, I got out of the yearly upgrade game years ago. Been diminishing returns for a long time now, not a slam on Apple, it’s industry wide.

I haven't decided yet...I may and I may not. If you ask my wife, the AC/GS stands a better chance to dropping me to 0% and giving me a $1.5 million credit limit than her or I upgrading our X's. just checked battery health...92%. It may last another year...maybe.

Keeping the same morbid notch, lightning port, that hideous camera design and maybe a few "nice to have" features, and of course whatever the gimmick is this year. Yawn. I'll almost certainly be skipping this year's iPhone. I'm much more interested in the Galaxy Note 10 or the Pixel 4. Far better looking phones and certainly much better tech, especially the cameras and displays.
Yeah, that hardware juggernaut Google really puts out beautiful phones.

And who wants Android? Yuck.

I barely care this year. Barely. And knowing me, that’s alarming. I’m more interested in what new health features might come to the Apple Watch, though having a Series 4, I’m not looking to upgrade anytime soon. Either I’m getting old, or Apple is getting boring, or maybe both. Or this is just what peak smartphone looks like? I’m much more interested in the new OS at this point.

Maybe there will be a new, cheaper, smaller HomePod. I might be interested in that. Would love to be blown away, but this year feels like a snooze fest to me. Prove me wrong, Apple!
