And if we don't see an update? ... Only saying that cause you seem pretty sure there will be one next week. lol ... I am hoping the same too. MM has been pretty dead on with everything released this year too. So come on Apple, give us the MacPro... With Blu-Ray burner. lol

Wow, are you serious? He's been predicting the new Mac Pro since January... so he has been quite wrong there.

Maybe your cousin's third brother could provide me a link because they came out today (11/13) and I can't find them on Apple.

Maybe they did consider monday a holiday =P

Or.. maybe they'll update it thursday morning like they did with the macbooks.

In any event, i want it this week!!

I usually dont post on here, just lurk. However, if they are planning on "shipping today" when it is announced then it has to be tomorow. Monday was a holiday, meaning no mail, meaning no stock until tomorow. They dont want a lot of stock sitting around in their stores over the weekend, which is why it is always on a Tues. So that being said, it better be tomorow.

In case 11/14 falls through I'll put one up for 11/15... anyone care to volunteer for 11/16?

Just look at it from a positive standpoint. The longer Apple goes without an update/upgrade of the Mac Pro, then when they do update/upgrade the Mac Pro then it will be a more dramatic update/upgrade.:)

Yah but the build up sometimes doesn't justify the outcome. I often tell my wife, "you can only tease me for so long, eventually I'm gonna go, is THAT it? That's what I waited on?"

LOL j/k honey if your reading this.

I probably shouldn't have posted that. Nice meeting ya'll. I'll probably be dead by tonight.

Only USPS was closed yesterday. I assume apple uses UPS/Fedex/DHL/some other private service for delivering macs right?

All the hardware I've ever had shipped to my home from :apple:, it was via FedEx.
The question is, how do they ship to Apple stores. How they ship to individuals could be different.

Either way, I'm really, really, really hoping to power on the MacBook Pro in the AM, go to www.apple.com and find a great big home page graphic advertising the exciting new line of super-fast Mac Pros....

Hi there, I'm one of the ever expanding newbies to this site. Been following 'the story' that's been unfolding here (and other threads) for the last few weeks. I seem to be in good company when I tell you, after getting married 2 an a half months ago, WE'RE STILL WAITING for the (hopefully imminent) new Mac Pro to be announced, as we managed to amazingly get enough money together from our wedding guests to afford a spanking new desktop!!! But enough of the life story - my point for typing wuuuuuuuz… I was amazed at how easy it was to get caught up in the whole frenzy of it all - I just tried a quick look at the Apple site, and the usual 'Leopard' page wouldn't load - I think it's cuz my browser is playing up, but is anyone else seeing that? Sorry, if my post has popped anyone's MacPro cork prematurely!!!

12 yearson/off Macs

After speaking to Multimedia, it looks like we won't see a Mac Pro update until January 15th, 2008.

Again, it's all speculation, but it doesn't look like you guys are going to have new Mac Pro's tomorrow.

Multi is active on the apple-insider forums if you'd like to talk to him, he's also on iChat @ kungag5

Multimedia has basically been predicting new dates every time he is wrong. He predicted tomorrow, is he now doubting himself? MM is just an egotistical geek who thinks he knows everything apple Apple releases when he really doesn't know any more than you or I do.

I'd say anyone posting to this speculative thread is a geek/nerd, myself included. There is nothing to be learned from this thread as NO ONE here is privy to any Apple information regarding any update to the Mac Pro line. For some of us, such as darthrage, his extreme rationalization of never ending Mac Pro release dates can only promote this self-fulfilling prophecy. This prophecy is that because the new Mac Pro should be released momentarily, then it WILL be released momentarily. Yes, it eventually will, but only when Apple says so. Wishful thinking and rationilzation will not release it any sooner. Time to move on.

Well the weather forecasters do the same thing and we listen to them. They change the weather forecaster as needed and then they are always right because they are judged by what they said last. Multimedia has to be right if he keeps predicting. It's only when he stops predicting does he stand a chance of being wrong.

The longer you wait, the better it will feel when you finally get it (Mac Pro in this case). Ask any woman. She knows how to use "anticipation" to her advantage and so does Apple.:D
