According to Multi, he's leaning towards a Wednesday (11/14) release more than a Tuesday (11/13) release.

Either way, we shall see a Mac Pro update next week.

And if we don't see an update? ... Only saying that cause you seem pretty sure there will be one next week. lol ... I am hoping the same too. MM has been pretty dead on with everything released this year too. So come on Apple, give us the MacPro... With Blu-Ray burner. lol

Well if we don't see one then we don't. Not much we can do.

Then explain why there hasn't been a MacPro update for well over a year - or why Leopard was delayed so much.

As for your reasoning with rosetta - atleast everything worked - at the moment there are serious troubles with CS3.

I've heard CS3 works flawlessly with Leopard. Multi has the master collection and it works just fine for him.

Thats assuming of course that some diabolical mad scientist isn't planning on destroying the world if he can't get his mac pro on next week.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this was pretty much the perfect retort to that statement.

This would be kick ass, I'd buy myself a b-day gift... (14th) haha, unless apple wants to send me a free one...

Misses my birthday. It´s tomorrow, 11th. :D

I´m STILL saying Macworld. Yeah, I´m a pessimist, wana fight aboutit?

I'm still going with next Tuesday, or Wednesday. Don't know if Apple is going to celebrate that Monday as a holiday. One question I would like to ask Apple is why the iMac, Macbook, Macbook Pro, and MacMini pages have a Leopard tagline and the MacPro doesn't?

Same lovable MacBook. New amazing OS. MacBook now shipping with Leopard.

State-of-the-art meets state-of-the-art. MacBook Pro now shipping with Leopard.

A little mini. A lot of Leopard. Now shipping with Leopard.

The ultimate all-in-one. Now shipping with Leopard.

MacPro? Nothing. Just a friggin "Stay Up-To-Date" message.

This update will happen in a few days. Apple thinks we are stupid and can't figure this out.

The MacPro page on the UK store has them shipping with Leopard

No way - I have read that certain programs are incompatable - I can't afford to take risks when i KNOW they are incompatable - I rely on my Mac Pro to make a living.

Regardless of all the bugs - the simple fact that there is no PDF printer means I can't work - sure there are workarounds but for example I need to PDF invoices on a daily basis from Word.

Yeah not sure where you're getting your information from but it's not leopard. I have had 0 problems with CS3 (again not a power user but I do use it on occasion), and if by PDF printer you mean printing to PDF... you can do that too, from any program I've ever seen. It's just there in the Print dialog same as always.

I have so far had no issues with leopard what so ever.

Avid doesn't work with leopard, afterfx cs3 and premiere cs3 have major issues with leopard. Hence why adobe issued a press release saying that they are working on an update to fix these issues. There are issues, not every program works, I am sure there are some computing or crazy programs that give everyone issues.

So i plan to boot camp my mac pro when I get it. I have a 32-bit windows vista home basic. If I buy an upgrade for windows vista home premium 64-bit can I upgrade from 32-64? I'm just making sure because I googled around and found some sites saying it was not possible..

Yes, there is... we can all do the right thing and start boycotting Apple - stop buying their overpriced piles of $h!t. Send them a message that we refuse to be beholden to their egotistical and errogant lordship. I refuse to let Steve Jobs dictate to me what kind of hardware I will have access to. I'm breaking free of Apple's shackles...

Give me liberty or give me death!
Give me hardware-choice or give me windows!

Yeah - he probably saw that it would install and then went yeah works fine.

For those of us who use it every day it's a different matter.

Reference the adobe press release for the issues - mind you I'd be interested to see you actually print a PDF from word in Leopard - that was one issue that everyone has so unless you have a magic wand I assume your just mistaken.

I think there's a little confusion here. If I understand correctly, Adobe Acrobat (full) has issues printing in Leopard. While that may be the case, Leopard can (and does) print to PDF just hunky-dory. File>Print:print to PDF. Still there, still works. Not Acrobat here, just the Apple printing utility. That part hasn't changed. I've been using it myself with no problems since 10/26. And that is completely cross-application.

Again, not entirely sure what you mean by 'print a PDF from word' but if you're talking about printing a word document TO a pdf, then I just did it. If you're talking about taking a word document, printing it to a pdf document, and THEN printing that pdf document, I just did that as well. And as for CS3 I know SOME things are broken with it, but I've seen people with the misconception that ALL of it is broken and unusable, which is not true.

Anyway more on topic, I still think given the lack of rumors it's unlikely to be today, or probably even this week that they update the mac pro. Unless they just announce the update, but don't ship the new units until december, but it seems like a bad marketing move to me anyway to announce that you're current pro line will be replaced right after christmas.
