Just got my 11" at the Lincoln Road store in Miami. Am very much enamored so far, sold my iPad to get this little beauty and am not regretting it one bit. Love the size; the boot up time is quicker then I expected, even after seeing the videos on here. Am currently reinstalling the OS to gain back some extra space.
did you upgrade shipping from standard? I ordered mine with the same specs as you did today and it is saying it will be here between the 26th and the 1st

Happy to report (even though this is for the GF) that the SCREEN is NOT GLOSSY!!!! It really isn't a full blown MATTE, but one cannot see oneself in the screen at all. GREAT, will make for a nice portable.
(can you tell I hate glossy)
one thing I cannot figure out (only been an apple user 33 years now) is how to get the hard drive (ssd) icon to show up on the desktop?

It's glossy, just not as reflective as the glossy ones that have glass plate in front of it as well.
Icon: Finder > Preferences (cmd + ,) > General > Show these items on desktop > Check "Hard disks"

I found it odd that this seems to be the only Air in the US with 4gb to ship from TN.
My 11 inch base model arrived today.
So far I'm really impressed. Battery seems to be holding its charge really well. It's very snappy. I've run full screen 1080p video on it and it gets a little warmer but not hot.

I just started to test the MBA the size is really perfect i really thought it might be small but the keyboard is very easy to type on. No glare at all compared to my ipad. it has no lines on the screen like the last MBA. No yellowing at all.At a full charge battery percent show 7.59 minutes but it goes up and down
