Fits perfectly, or you're the seller trying to sell them? I'm highly skeptical since it's clearly a Macbook Air in the photo, which EVERY case I've seen form-fit "for the macbook 12"" is really for the Air and has some extra room at the end of it because it's not designed for the Macbook.

If this company were really selling one designed for the Macbook, why would they not have a picture of a macbook in it? Means they either are selling an Air sleeve as a Macbook sleeve, or they designed it without an actual macbook to test in it... either way is not good.

But since you say you have it, put your Macbook in it and take some high def pics and post them please.

Dude GIVE IT A REST.

This is all you say over and over. I told you I spoke with the owners and confirmed the sizing. You're being a jerk over a $14 item (and I am being kind).

I am not the seller. I bought the case and put a rMB into it. Fits perfectly.
See the USB-C?

Laptop is pushed all the way in. About 1/4" overhang on case.

Other case with the flap is on the way.

There is not much risk here for anyone. Sure beats paying $70+

Too thick. The Macbook looks smothered by the case.

I want a super-thin, neoprene sleeve without all that extra heft and fabric of this case. Wish Crumpler were still making cases for every model. Think it got too expensive for them. My 11" Crumpler Fug is perfect but for the 1/4 inch overhang (because like yours, the case was made for the 11" AIR, otherwise it would NOT have that 1/4 inch overhang).

that felt material is aweful as well. i bought one for my macbook pro a while back and stopped using it after only a few days. it does make a really good mat for my desk to put my keyboard and wristpad on :)

I've put the rMB in a few air 11 cases and the overhang is closer to 1 inch. I don't expect the device to be right at the edge. Kinda figured you'd find some issue to harp on. Too thick? All the felt products like this are the same thickness. Have not seen one that was otherwise.

Suggest you check out joli If you want thin and useless. I want protection.

I think it looks nice. I would consider getting one as I am in need of a case.

An inch? the spec dimensions are only a half an inch different, so not sure why your overhand would be an inch. Tho since you clearly defend your case blindly, guess doesn't matter.

What are you talking about. Are you always this much of a jerk? The laptop fits fine despite your nay saying. I demonstrate it and you whine about the thickness, oh and the color is not right…blah blah.

I will post pictures of the flap version once I receive it.

Does it usually take this long for companies to release acceosories for new laptop models? i haven't been able to find a sleeve that fits. I went to the apple store and i ended up buying a incase sleeve designed for the 11" mba, but the fit is loose. so i will return it. I've also checked best buy and they have no sleeves for this laptop...

The Grey Viper and Sand Viper cases are on crazy sale right now on Amazon (and Prime, too) for $10 and $15 respectively. I just ordered a grey one to use on my rMB as a temp case while I wait for more rMB cases to come out in the next months. Hopefully it'll fit decently, though the rMB is .25" deeper than the 11" Air.

Do you have Prime? Let us know if it fits

Just got back from vacation and picked up my 1.3 at FedEx. It fits in the case fine, and the case is able to snap closed. Of course, there is a ton of extra room, and the MacBook is certainly able to move around in there. It'll do fine for my needs as I wait a few months for more cases to be available. Personally, I'm hoping Incase makes an ICON sleeve for the MacBook--we'll see.

Nay saying? I guess it's nay saying that I point out you got duped into buying a 11 inch macbook air case that they labeled as a 12" macbook case.

I'm simply saying if someone wants a custom case, there are none yet.

I just ordered the one with the flap too, great value for price thanks for link.

For those questioning why it's taking so long to make fitted cases, see this response from Joli. I've ordered a case for my MP and not particularly bothered about the delay because I don't have the machine yet.

"Thanks for pre-ordering the 12” MacBook Sleeve!

When you placed your order we stated that we would ship your sleeve before the end of April. Until today that was still the plan and we’re still ready to go, but unfortunately we’re missing one important thing to finish the sleeve, the 12” MacBook itself.

Apple promised us several times to have a 12” MacBook in the 3rd week of April. Unfortunately this morning they again told us that they still don’t have one available and that they expect it later this week. We need the MacBook to finish the model.

We do have a backup plan,.. As soon as the AppleStore was back online on April 10th we ordered one and that’s scheduled to be delivered in the week of May 11th. We’re doing everything we can to get our hands on one sooner.

As soon as we have the MacBook here in our studio, we will start crafting like crazy so we can get your sleeve out as soon as possible.

Very sorry for the delay!"

incorrect.. sfbags has custom rMB cases.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

They do NOT have custom rMB cases.

They SELL "retina macbook cases" but they're 11" cases now, until they come out with ones specific to the rMB. Welcome to MR tho.

Because you're clearly an expert on every case manufacturer. You clearly need your head examined. The pictures people have posted on here shows some pretty tight fitting sleeves that would be impossible to fit the longer 11" MBA. Many might not have a rMB on hand but any idiot (I guess except for you, who is a particularly special case) can look at the dimensions online and design a case that will fit better than one for the 11" MBA.

What do you think about the Tom Bihn case? Really only that one and the Cocones sleeve have caught my eye. I'm after the same kind of sleeve as you.

I was referring only to Waterfield. Re-read the topic context.

Not a super fan, but my Crumpler FUG works so well in comparison... I'd have to see the Tom Bihn one in person, because I assume the pictures of the big fat macbook don't do it justice since it states only 6 mm neoprene, which clearly isn't what's pictured. LOL

Got the one on top today! Unfourtunaly i did not get the Macbook..

Its cheap and will most likely fit very good, looks alright etc.

I got one "scratch", about 3-4cm on one side, but i dont care very much since im just using it when I travel and having the computer in another bag.

So if you need a case for the times you throw your MB in your handluggage etc, it works just fine. If you use the sleeve on a daily basis i would look elsewhere.
