Nice, but a very different product.

I like this case a lot. Have it in the 13" and 15" variant. Didn't think I wanted to go with it again with such a slim laptop, but alas... dongles and chargers still most be toted around.

Thanks for all the feedback. One of the reasons I like this particular case is that it has a "piggyback" option:

It does increase the cost however, so I'm definitely open to other alternatives.

This Moshi sleeve looks solid. I have one of their origami-styled iPad covers and find it to be great, so hopefully this one continues the trend. No price/availability info yet though.

This case looks nice.

But, think about that adapter slot. There is nearly no separation between the laptop and adapter. An impact to the adapter might damage the laptop.

Also, that adapter is going to bulge out like a beer belly.

That won't look nice.

I'd get it only for the rMB.

Price will likely be $34.95

They need to make a codex pro 12"

That was my problem with it too. Though their phone cases look nice.... I wish i could see them in person to see how much bulk it adds to the phone. I never trust those side view pictures.

Just got my Tom Bihn Cache and thought I'd post some pics in case anyone was interested (sorry for the cat photo bomb):

It's a tight, cushioned fit. But not so tight that the flap can't tuck in easily. Definitely not enough room to breath or move around in the sleeve itself, as it should be.

I also wanted to show how perfectly it fits into my current 10" iPad sized Waterfield Muzetto Outback bag:

Just got my Cache yesterday as well. Love that Waterfied bag, very classy.

Thanks for sharing your photos. That's one of the few cases I have been interested in. The sleeve appears to dwarf the rMB just like every other sleeve, but I like the look of it more than the other ones.

I think I recall people posting that they had dust/grit/etc. getting trapped between the plastic and the aluminum, which resulted in a lot of small scratches.

FWIW, I've had a Speck hard plastic shell on my 15" rMBP for a couple of years and it's not so bad with stuff getting under the shell, although there are a couple of places where the plastic itself scratches the laptop. What's particularly bad about them is that it's an absolute nightmare to get them off the laptop - the lid piece particularly, requires sufficient force that the metal and glass of the laptop's screen are *bending*. I hate doing it and now that I have the rMB for travel, the rMBP is staying out of its case forever!

Are you sure this will fit?
If so, I'm definitely interested in one of these as well ...

It ought to, the rMB is smaller than an 11" Air in two out of three dimensions, and the third dimension it's only 4.5mm larger. I imagine it'll be snug, but I'm ok with that.

I'll be picking it up from the friend who ordered it for me, around 18th May. If I remember, I'll come back and post a comment saying whether it fits nicely, with some pics :)

Edit: Forgot to mention, I watched a youtube video with someone putting an 11" Air in, and the Air had a hard shell on it, which means at least 1-2mm in depth, and it didn't look like it was straining the case, so I'm pretty hopeful it will fit :)

I see ...
Following the same logic, do you reckon the rMB will fit inside this sleeve?

I've been hanging onto sleeves for as long as I can remember, so when I ordered my 12" MacBook I was sort of excited to try a couple of 11" cases I held onto—namely, the Booq Viper Sleeve, and the Incase Pathway Slip Sleeve. Fortunately, both are large enough to contain the 12" entirely.

I'll post detailed photos of each when I get out of the office for those interested.

As promised…

Looks like the 11" booq viper fits very nicely. Can you comment on the fit?

I may get this as a holdover until I get something else.

While the Booq does fit (and close) there is a little room for the MacBook to move around inside. In theory this would totally bother me, but for some reason it doesn't and I have been using it (versus the Incase Pathway Sleeve) since last week. If anything bothers me about the Booq, it'd be the excess width, but I had the same complaints about the case with my 11" MacBook Air also.

Nice... thanks for the info.

Have gone for the Waterfield Outback Sleeve to sit inside my Rough Rider messenger bag - also from SFBags.com.

Perfect fit and very sturdy with good impact protection.. Beautifully handmade - should last a long time..
