I do not know who can use a 256GB laptop. I do not have lots of photos, but everytime I back up my iPad and iPhone, my laptop is always full. With 512 or 1TB the price will be so expensive :(

You should be storing data on two externals: one has a primary, the second as a back-up. A 256GB boot/application drive is plenty storage. I have a 512GB drive in my 2014 MacBook Pro, and I have 406GB available with no shortage of graphics and photography applications and fonts loaded onto my machine.

The prices in the uk are just extreme. I think Apple are going for the high end less volume for all their products. They are seriously retreating to the high end.

The "air replacement" starts at over £1400! But a 13 inch air is like £900?? That's crazy.

The iPad HAS to become the computing platform for the masses because most people can't afford this stuff anymore. I think Apple need to be careful because if young people can't afford your platform how do you gain the loyalty going forward?

I started this out skeptical but ready to buy since my current MacBook Pro is the 2012 model. I can pinpoint the exact moment they lost me ... 256GB storage on a "professional" machine in 2016. And hey, only $400 to upgrade to the same SSD storage I have right now.

Ok, let me preface this with I hate moaning too, but I'm about to do it too. Why oh why did Apple not offer 32 GB of RAM in the upper-end 15" MBP? I am a pro user and 16 GB is not enough for me today, let alone in 2018 or 2019. This is such a beast of a machine except for this one area in which it falls critically short.
Apple is being run by a bean counter instead of someone who actually cares about the end user. They could stand to make a little bit less on MacBooks right now. I'm still probably going to blow somewhere between 2k and 2.6k on one tho. So....I think they are being a little bit greedy.

This is just pure unadulterated greed at this point.

And they increased the price by 500$ for one touch bar. Damn an iPad barely costs the price difference!
Notice what was missing when he said "Mac lineup"?

I will not be buying a laptop this year. UK Price for the spec I was looking at £3,329.00 Crazy :(. I paid £2200 for my maxed out model a few years ago. Apple have failed big time in my book.
