Ha! Rumor-watchers wondered if the mysterious new 13" was a MacBook or a MacBook Air. Neither!
The model numbers were all one-off from each other. I wasn't expecting machines from two different lineups to start with.

The uk prices are absolutely ridiculous. Can't see many people paying these prices.
Two of those three features are essentially useless and stupid on a laptop. The surface book yesterday has full touchscreen, stylus and 16 hours battery life!
UK prices have always appeared to be lower (but actually just higher than US prices when converted and tax is applied). The fall in sterling since Brexit has caused this, not Apple greed.Ummm I think Tim being greedy is also contributing here, it's not just Brexit.
Everyone around the world is getting shafted price wise of these and they are not part of Brexit, this is apple greed
Ya. But how many other things will you be able to run in the background while doing said editing? Like 4 chrome tabs? And editing 4k is only one use case scenario. Multitasking in other applications requires more than 16gb of ram. I topped my 16gb out all the time before upping to 32.I guess you missed the presentation showing effortless 4k video editing with the "joke" 16GB RAM.
I will not be buying a laptop this year. UK Price for the spec I was looking at £3,329.00 Crazy. I paid £2200 for my maxed out model a few years ago. Apple have failed big time in my book.
Start one for Tim, too. He really needs to get his head out of his butt. After watching this presentation I'm starting a GoFundMe campaign for new medical research that will one day allow for the reanimation of Steve Jobs.
No CTO options on the Dutch store at the moment
I paid $1999 for my 15" rMBP back in October of 2012. The flagship feature of the new rMBP is the Touch Bar. The BASE price of the 15" is $2399. You gain the Touch Bar, and that's essentially it hardware wise. Sure there are the spec bumps, but that's not significant in terms of a new model. Oh, two new colors...and the Apple logo isn't backlit anymore. Why is that worth $400 more?
Maybe is for future crazy gestures.Does anyone else think the trackpad is unnecessarily huge?
No iMac update
No Mac Mini update
No Mac Pro update
No Macbook Air update (RIP)

Dongleware galore (no mention of adapters either)
Higher Prices (much higher in Canada)
Gimmick T-bar
I think I'm done here.
This must be an interim update. The real innovation will come with Kaby Lake. Right? Right?
**** those prices, I wanted to upgrade but not with those prices.. damn Apple is really forcing me to look elsewhere
I'm going to have to make my Macs last a lot longer between upgrades after this. The uk prices are absolutely ridiculous. Can't see many people paying these prices.
