At some point all software will catch up but I hear of issues with M1 and different course software. No idea what you need for your courses. So is the 14in base model enough for someone who is in college for X-ray tech?

Would you rather have larger bezels or a notch?I can cope with a notch on the phone but I’m sorry I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER have one on my laptop
those will be my dying words.
These laptops still have bezels. Other companies put cameras in small bezels.Would you rather have larger bezels or a notch?
Doesn’t the 13“ M1 still have the horrendous butterfly keyboard? Some things I do not like about the new MBPs:
I don't like to rant. These machines are really great for Pros that need this power. I am typing this from my M1 MBP and the only thing I really want to have is the display (without the notch). Everything else is not really for me.
- Battery life for wireless surfing is much worse than the current 13" M1 MBP. 17 hours for the M1 MBP and 11/14 for the 14"/16" models.
- The notch has no real reason to exist apart from making the display thin
It’s £4,500 here. Cheaper to fly to the US and buy one.I know these are geared for pro users but still, starting at £1900, up to a pretty earth shattering £3300? Ouch
No, it has the Magic Keyboard. To be honest, I also like the Touch Bar and I think it's a shame that it's gone just because some journalists and YouTubers influence public opinion so much.Doesn’t the 13“ M1 still have the horrendous butterfly keyboard?
Agree otherwise with your comments, I am a bit underwhelmed to say the least.
Yes, supported but limited to 100W. On MagSafe 3 you can get 140W.Does anyone know if USB-C ports can be used for charging?
Would you care to share a cheaper PC with equivalent features?
CPU/GPU Performance faster for common tasks than a 28 core Xeon and workstation GPU, cool operation, 400GB/s RAM, 64GB GPU memory, 7.2GB/s SSD, 254dpi display with 120Hz, local dimming up to 1600 nits and P4 colour reproduction.
Oh, and all of that with a battery that lasts up to 21 hours in a thin/light enclosure.
If it's too much money, there is are two cheaper laptops available from Apple. If you (or your employer) can afford it, this is great value for money.
Danny1305 you disagree then buy me a new machine. I simply can’t afford anything else.
Wonder how much longer the notch will be on the iPhone now that on Macs. Punch hole seems less likely soon.I can cope with a notch on the phone but I’m sorry I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER have one on my laptop

It is huge^2 better for every aspect of high-end 13...Up from $1799 base model pricing for the 13"![]()
I wouldn’t be surprised if the 2022 MacBook Air starts at $1099. I’m guessing it will get a 254ppi non-ProMotion display and a new design that echoes the new Pros. Hopefully the weight doesn’t increase, though.Way too expensive. My M1 MBA which I picked up for 899 new works quite well. Hopefully the M1x MBA doesn’t cost that much more.
