Finally shipped
After 2 days sat on prepared to ship it just went to shipped
Expected here Tuesday.

Bizarrely my UPS tracking page says:
Rescheduled Delivery: 10/27/2008
Apple shows delivery 'on or before 30th October'.
Not that I believe either of them!!

I placed my order on 17th Oct (9:30am) and up until today there's been a pending transaction on my credit card of the same value as the MBP and accs that I've ordered. However, today that's disappeared under pending transactions and nothing has been added to processed transactions - any ideas why that would be?
The Apple site still has my order as "not yet shipped" but I'm worried now that the order might be cancelled. Also, the Canon printer is now showing as 2-3 weeks delivery - would this affect me even if the estimated delivery of the printer was (at most) 1-2 weeks when I ordered?
Finally, does anyone know the e-mail address to contact Apple on regarding orders? I know the phone number but am quite ill and unable to speak right now.

I don't believe there's an address for this - and if there was I think you'd be unlikely to get any kind of timely reply. Can you get someone else to phone for you??
I ordered a printer with the rebate deal which is due to merge in transit with my mbp. Will apple ship this printer to me separately today if I ring them and ask?
mine just changed to prepared for shipment so I think I'll just leave it incase they mess things up. Ordered 2.8, 320 gig 7200 on the 18th so it looks like it will ship within 7 normal days not business days..

I asked if i could have my nano and printer now but they said i wouldnt be allowed the rebate on them both if they come separate
I noticed (or more accurately, panicked on noticing) the same thing going on with my order yesterday so phoned the Apple Store phone line to ask. The initial pending transaction is just to confirm funds are available, the real transaction will be put through when your order is ready to ship.
So don't worry the order isn't cancelled.

The same thing has happened to me, but the macbook and printer has shipped , and I have an invoice!
Sorry, meant to reply to this as well. When a company 'pre-authorises' a charge it only remains on your card for a few days awaiting the actual charge to come through. If the charge doesn't come through in that time (which probably varies by card company) it will 'drop off' and your available balance will go back until the charge comes through. So basically it has probably just dropped off as it has taken Apple so long to send the charge through (probably due to the length of time it's taking to build and ship the machines!)

I don't seem to have any tracking numbers yet so mine might still be with you other guys' orders that were still stuck on "prepared". I've got 4 items in my order and all of them has a "track this item" link (which leads to no added information) apart from the actual MacBook Pro.
I really hope they can at least get it to Europe over the weekend.

Yours went to 'shipped' before mine, so I'm very surprised you don't have tracking details yet. I'm still amused by mine showing delivery on Monday (27th)... any wagers on that happening?!

Yea! i dont see why we have to wait because the printer and iPods are in the UK! they should just send it all now and let the laptop catch up!

Clicking on that takes me to shipment status page, where its got all the dates etc. Well all it says, shipped 24th, estimated delivery 28th.
Do you get any of this?
