i was really hoping mine would be ready before the weekend to ship, so that the plans can fly to me and it can get here by monday - but i'm just not sure its gonna happen. I ordered on the 16th. I called Ireland to ask when they think, and they just read the website out to me.. useful! :rolleyes:

Arghh....I have to wait until the 29th before they are even on the Amazon site...I hope they send it to me quickly!
 
Looks like mine's been clumped in the same shipment as those that ordered three days later. :( Now I really wish their systems hadn't messed up and I could have got my order through a few hours earlier so that it would have been shipped in the first batch. :(

Ordered mine on the 17th and it moved to Prepared stage this morning. For those that have got them, what's the likely timescale from here? I guess it'll ship within the next day and then take about 3 days to arrive. Is that about right?

Now this is just an idea because I really don't know if it is possible/correct but I know what the feeling is to have to wait all weekend for something that is so close! :)

Technically, your parcel is going to be in your ups centre by Saturday morning (5-6am) but, unfortunately, they don't deliver on Saturdays.
What you can do: try to give them a call and pick it up yourself, if you can of course. They are definitely open on Saturday as they do special deliveries.

Wow, Amazon customer service are amazing! I sent a nice email asking about the cost of First Class delivery, and why it was still over £5 even though I spent £1,400 on one product. I had a reply MINUTES after I sent the email, with a really nice apology which also resulted in Amazon changing my delivery to First Class for no additional cost. This means that I will be receiving my Pro MUCH earlier than before.

I am sooo happy :D
 
I dont know what is going on with my macbook pro :) i ordered the better model with original configuration, i only changed to US keyboard. That was on 15th of october.

My tracking info looks scary :)) The lady at UPS told me that i will recieve it tomorrow. It looks like it is still in holland, it should be delievered to austria.

I am also looking at this for last 3 days:
Your package has experienced an exception.

Lady at the UPS is still telling me that in her computer she still sees delivery on friday (tomorrow). I dont have my hopes to high. I still hope i will get it tomorrow, but i expect it next week. :)

I'm loving my new MBP! I have NO REGRETS at all. Well, maybe that the click on the trackpad sounds too much, but the trackpad itself is sooo nice!

Yep, yours is with mine & xgfx's - we've got the same info but no worries, should be here tomorrow :)
Next progress should be within the next hour where it should leave Apeldoorn for Germany, then go to each of our countries :)

Apple site says it'll arrive tommorrow (but obviously not) ups say and i agree that it'll be monday now- mine is shipping to Worcester, GB (nr Birmingham)

I would be interested to know where anyone-elses MB or MBP is going and also when it arrives. just usefull to know average timings for other things i get from apple! thanks

Yes, from my investigations, I doubt it'll come tomorrow; it still has to go to Germany, then the Netherlands, then Germany again, then England...
Normal process usually takes 3 days (ie "Shipped on 20th" - arrives on 23rd), unless unlucky in which case it takes an extra day.

Mine has just been shipped. Just over 24 hours between it going from 'Prepared for Shipment' to shipped.
 
Mine's been shipped too! :D Took about 32 hours to get from "Prepared for Shipment" to "Shipped". Estimated delivery date: 30th October although I don't know which carrier it'll be yet. My expectations for delivery have been dropping so much. At first I was hoping for it to get here before the coming weekend, now I'm hoping before the next weekend. Ideally I'd want it to arrive on the Wednesday since I'm at home on Wednesday.

If your macbook is on the same plane, truck,.. than mine, i think you will recieve it on Monday. And i am saying that to all you out there that can find yourself in my tracking info :) Sadly the lady at UPS will probably be wrong about delivery on friday (tomorrow) . :)

And i am from Slovenia, but they do not send it to us, so i ordered it to Flachau, Austria (near Salzburg). So i have to go there and pick it up. I am going to Salzburg tomorrow on business, so it would be great to just pick it up, but it looks like i will be driving to Austria again on monday :)
