You're in Edinburgh huh, I'm in Dundee. Which one do you think will arrive first? And yes, time passes horribly slowly, especially since I don't know where the package is, where it shipped from or how it's being shipped, or indeed why it's taking SO LONG.
Yep, think you're right. I've received confirmation that its started the shipping process so will be with us by Wed (poss tues) if it doesn't get held up.
Hope I don't end up resenting it when it finally does arrive!!

I could cope with the delay but reading all the stories about 'f' keys, dust in the display, dents etc has me almost dreading the arrival of my new machine!
Here's hoping that those with problems are in the minority and are just (with good reason) very vocal about it!
I certainly hope it is a minority, if mine arrives damaged, I'm going to be so angry I think I might cry. Why can't they just use good shipping companies?

Just a little update, I'm not sure what any of this means maybe you can help me. It says on apple's tracking page that my package is in a UK distribution centre, and the carrier tracking number is the same 80xxxx number that they give you.

Your carrier should be TNT. Go to TNT's tracking page, then switch it to International Tracking (it won't track on the UK standard). Enter the tracking number as a Reference... it should then show you your tracking page, and also give you a consignment number. Record the consignment number and use it from then on to track or get information about your package.
Thanks, tried TNT international didn't like the number apple gave me. So I tried the UK version and it said it was down for maintenance. Fantastic. How can one person be this unlucky?
No doubt when my macbook finally arrives it will have some serious faults and problems.
Stop being such a pessimist, you will get it soon. Look if its an 808 number and TNT international does not have it listed on the site yet (be sure you are listing it as a reference number, not a consignment number)... then you can just call TNT up and they might have more updated information then that which is on the site. Someone had that problem several pages back, and they gave her the consignment number when she rang them up. Remember, its a Sunday... just wake up early tomorrow and see if its updated...
