Mine's still stuck on "prepared for shipment". :(

Same, I have been stuck on Prepared for shipment since yesterdays morning. Ordered mine 15th.

Since it has been stuck there for 2 days, i assume they are receiving some tender loving care before being shipped...more realistically they will not ship till the next UK batch is ready :(

Looks like someone wants to up their sales stats this month :p

I am really confused now.

Yesterday, after the well travelled Macbook Pro reached Germany, UPS were saying "definetly delivered on 24th".. Now it says nothing about the day it will be delivered and the latest statuses are..

However Apple are saying something completely different, they're still saying 23rd (yay please be today) is the estimated delivery date and their status is

Very confusing.

edit: now a few more statuses have popped up

Their tracking system is quite kooky. Must be real slow updating some of the 'events'. If it was still in NL an hour ago (they're an hour ahead of UK time) then I really doubt i'll be seeing it today like Apple suggests.

Hey :p

Exactly the same thing for me (as I said previously, we're traveling together :p). Where's yours going to by the way? London too?

My UPS/Apple delivery was 24th but now ups says nothing and Apple says 23rd. Never thought this would happen so I wasn't in this morning, no idea if anyone came by or not. I'll be in all day now.

Shipped to LONDON, GB 21 Oct 2008
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 24 Oct 2008 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status Available for Final Delivery to Customer 23 Oct 2008
Historic Events Out for Delivery 23 Oct 2008

Latest info from ups:

APELDOORN, NL 23/10/2008 9:30 IMPORT SCAN
23/10/2008 6:46 IN TRANSIT
23/10/2008 6:45 IMPORT SCAN
23/10/2008 5:39 ARRIVAL SCAN

The only thing I can image possible is that the packages arrive from NL during the day sometime and go straight out for delivery.
I'm not a delivery expert though! :p

Well, at worst, it will be here tomorrow, suits me enough :)

With my order the Apple page had the same message you have but for the 22nd, while my UPS was still saying it would arrive the 23rd. They still say it's coming today, so I'm here waiting. Yesterday it went from Netherlands to Germany and then Madrid. Good Luck!

What does your ups status look like?

Same here Spanky... I think it was about this time yesterday that it moved to that status, hoping it might move on any time now. Looks like we're travelling together! :)

ditto.
ordered on the 15th, 2.8, 320 - 7200rpm.
i just want to see it changed to shipped!

We must all be on the same plane. Or same pedalo by the sounds of things!

Mine's been stuck on "prepared for shipment" for over 23 hours now. They've had a full working day to put it on a plane, come on!!! Makes you think, how many MacBook Pros would it take to make it worth while for one guy to fly over there with no luggage and bring them all back on the same day!!

I've been watching this thread the last few days, mine was ordered on Oct 15, 2008 at 08:44 AM GMT and my status changed to 'Prepared for Shipment' yesterday evening.

I still have 'Estimated Delivery: 03 Nov, 2008 - 04 Nov, 2008' but fingers crossed it will be sometime next week.

Looks like mine will be in the same batch as the rest of you!

Wow, it's just been updated!!

1:00 P.M. DESTINATION SCAN

It should be near here in some warehouse or something... So.. it's coming!! xDD

Seems like I have 15 minutes on you :p Mines going to Cardiff.
I would assume NL is the main hub for Europe, and then they get flown/shipped over to the UK and distrubuted to local hubs. I know they have a UPS in Cardiff, So one would assume it would get filtered down that way, that's what I've seen happen with other shipping companies anyway.

That is insane if it goes from Netherlands BACK to germany then spain. What complete waste of fuel seeing as NL is literally a hop from the UK coastline.

I'm not holding out for today, I'd imagine it will be tomorrow. Stupid of Apple/UPS to not give a better estimate when their tracking clearly shows its not going to make it by today. It still shows 23rd on my Apple shipping page. People take time off work to collect these things, granted I haven't but still. Especially with Apple's page saying "out for delivery" even more misleading.

Floti; if you drive maybe call UPS to see if you can pick it up from their depot if you don't want to wait?

Right now it says ARRIVAL SCAN in Madrid since this morning at 5 am. I called UPS to know if it was finally coming today and they said yes. Anyway, I still doubt it.

I reckon you will get it today if it was in Madrid this morning... have you got an Out for delivery?

After some research, looks like my delivery date of 23rd is wrong, as you said.
If everything goes smoothly, it should go to Germany tonight (departure: 9-10pm, arrival: 12-1am), then to London (d: 3-4am, a: 5-6am), then go Out for delivery...

Rescheduled Delivery: 24/10/2008

Am I to asume that this should be dropped off tomorrow? The Apple order page says the 27th though.

I called UPS and they said my package had no street in the address line and there was no telephone number on it... they said they'll try to bring it to me today and if they can't i can go there and pick it.

That would explain why it got delayed then...
Hopefully ours will be ok :p

Me too. But I think they are saying 7 bussiness days as a maximum, sometimes it takes 'em less but it should not take any longer.

the sad thing is, they probably have cheap chinese workers who live in the factorys working 24/7 so in that respect, the weekend wont make a difference.

I'm wondering if perhaps the delay is so that the factory can stay open longer and be a little more efficiently used than having to shut down production. Rather than starting production early and stockpiling units like you'd hope they would do.

Edit:
and holding up the dispatches to fill up the planes - probably just another way to save money and be more efficient.

can anyone in the UK whos got theres say what day they ordered from? I paid by wire transfter, and the guy told me on the phone that i should still be put on the waiting list before my payment goes through - i'm not so sure though, because i'm still waiting for it to be ready for shipping (7days later)
