I added a Cannon printer to my order, I can't remember what the estimated delivery for it was when I ordered but it's now 1-2 weeks, would that hold things up and explain why it still says "Not yet shipped"?

Me too. But I think they are saying 7 bussiness days as a maximum, sometimes it takes 'em less but it should not take any longer.

Really annoying now. No tracking number yet :(

Be happy your even at that stage yet. I ordered just before the keynote ended and I've just got on to prepared for shipment.

Believe me, having a tracking number is worse. ahhhhrggg!!

After the whole CHINA > KOREA > POLAND > GERMANY > NETHERLANDS with thousand customs checks there now it's going back to germany. Now what? GERMANY > KOREA > CHINA > SPAIN?? I'm gonna switch this off and wait.

Sound. Thought as much. As long as it gets here before my g4 powerbook hard disk dies I'll be happy. I'd say I have two weeks max judging by the noise coming from it.

How did you get the tracking numbers? Will I get one when it's being shipped or did you get it through something else.

Finally mines going out

Prepared for Shipment
Ships: 7 business days
Delivers: 03 Nov, 2008 - 04 Nov, 2008

Now I'll just cross my fingers and hope it reaches before the Apple estimated delivery date... Seems like us joes in the uk are finally getting some love.

At the risk of being labeled a "spammer" John Lewis at Welwyn have good stocks now of both the Macbook and Macbook Pro, and offer free delivery in the UK and free two years parts and labour guarantee. They are contactable on (01707) 323456 between 9am and 8pm weekdays. Alternatively keep an eye on the JohnLewis.com website and use the click and collect option to have it sent to the store of your choice for next day collection. Under UK indirect selling rules you can refuse delivery of your Macbooks when the finally arrive from Apple, and get a full refund.

Looks like someone wants to up their sales stats this month :p

I am really confused now.

Yesterday, after the well travelled Macbook Pro reached Germany, UPS were saying "definetly delivered on 24th".. Now it says nothing about the day it will be delivered and the latest statuses are..

APELDOORN, NL 23/10/2008 6:22 IN TRANSIT
APELDOORN, NL 23/10/2008 6:22 IMPORT SCAN
KOELN (COLOGNE), DE 23/10/2008 2:54 DEPARTURE SCAN

However Apple are saying something completely different, they're still saying 23rd (yay please be today) is the estimated delivery date and their status is

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change): 23 Oct 2008 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status: Available for Final Delivery to Customer 23 Oct 2008
Historic Events: Out for Delivery 23 Oct 2008

Very confusing.

edit: now a few more statuses have popped up

APELDOORN,
NL 23/10/2008 9:19 IMPORT SCAN
23/10/2008 6:22 IN TRANSIT
23/10/2008 6:22 IMPORT SCAN
23/10/2008 5:39 ARRIVAL SCAN

Their tracking system is quite kooky. Must be real slow updating some of the 'events'. If it was still in NL an hour ago (they're an hour ahead of UK time) then I really doubt i'll be seeing it today like Apple suggests.

How long has it taken people "prepared for shipment" status to change to shipped? Mine changed from "not yet shipped" to "prepared..." over night and I was wondering when they are shipped after that. I presume that they do them in batches to the UK. This is my first MBP and it want it now!!! (yesterday would be good better :) )

I think mine took about 6-7 hours? Can't remember exactly but not too long. Some other people are saying they've waited for over a day though. Like you said, if it's done in batches I guess its just whether or not your Macbook is ready at the right time, if it's finished just after a batch has been shipped then it'll have to wait a little longer.

Ugh, that's probably why mine hasn't shipped too. Ordered early on the 15th. Lame :(

Hi,
where are you in Germany and when did you order your MBP ? I'm also in Germany and waiting for it. Yesterday, the status updated to "prepared for shipment".

Cheers,
Tex

Mine's still stuck on "prepared for shipment". :(
Mine as well. :( And if I'm not mistaken the time in Shanghai is over 6pm and it's unlikely that it will leave today. I don't get it, why it's taking so long.

I spoke to Apple Store and they said they would email me when they had information, that was over 2 hours ago. We'll see I guess.
