DockBook Pro, the laptop that just keeps creating bad news.
Apple needs to release a dongle like this:
I hate to be that guy, but cue the Samsung comments...
Apple's outcome today was theorized by Steve decades ago. You can skip to 25:44s to see Steve's explanation of the fall of a great company or watch the entire interview. Link is here ---https://youtu.be/TRZAJY23xio?t=25m44s
here we come, another thousand comments of outrage about an issue from which no one is going to suffer and no one would remember a week from now.
this is macrumors forum after all...
That is most of the bad news came from. That's what the keynote is for.
Totally agree with you, am starting to wonder why I visit this site.I remember when it was a tech forum and actually had information. Here we have basically shared one firms press release and 100 knee jerk reactions about an issue that doesn't seem to affect any of the people posting. Totally devoid of any real useful information. Sad.
I think that is Quad Core version (15" MacBook Pro), I just saw dell website this morning, they had couple of systems with 7th Gen CPUs.

I am with you on this, but this is also Tim's fault as well. He's the CEO and has to supervise the products like this.Phil Schiller should be fired.
Outdated? In the eye of the beholder. Still a fantastic device. Personally I think it's a great deal for him
How about the most pre-orders of a MacBook Pro ever?[/QUOTE said:Well I can't blame Apple for putting that out there as a piece of good news, but you do have to bear in mind that it has taken them so long to release a new MacBook Pro that it is not surprising, simply because so many people were ready to buy an update. I don't think all those orders are down to universal excitement about price or performance.
I wondered the same thing upon reading the headline: "New MacBook Pros May Not be Compatible With..." I suppose going with "Some Early Thunderbolt 3 Devices May Not be Compatible With New MacBook Pros" wouldn't have the same impact. What a load of ****, is macrumors just trying to set out negativity against Apple...
O'rly? Well that's all I needed to know, I'm buying now so I'm not left out of the crowd!!!How about the most pre-orders of a MacBook Pro ever?
I did the same thing. This is not a very professional mobile system. Hello illuminated logo!Thought over the weekend. Ordered a 15" maxed with 1tb. Canceled today. F it. Going to a maxed 2015.
That will last me 3 years at least.
Saved 1k so far in my search to buy one anyway.
"While we have no comment on Plugable's specific complaint, products using the newest Thunderbolt chipsets, with up-to-date drivers, will have no difficulty connecting to any 2016 MacBook Pro," Apple said in a statement to AppleInsider.
What are you doing? Injecting actual information in this thread, between all the whining. It's not a hardware issue (or firmware) issue, it's a software or kernel extension issue. I bought the TB32DP2 and it worked fine under bootcamp on the MBP Late 2016 with dell 5k screen that needs 2 displayports. Under macOS the profiler said not supported. So I returned it.
Apple gave this statement to Apple Insider:
