What a load of ****, is macrumors just trying to set out negativity against Apple, I'm sure if this product is incompatible it's because the manufacturers neglected the protocols for USB c, all this talk of ports, 99% of my work is done using wireless, and people using ports is like people using candles when electricity was invented. All this negativity against a company that simply make the best products in the world.

I hate to be that guy, but cue the Samsung comments...

I hate to be the guy that tells the guy that hates to be the guy to cue "don't be that guy" comments...

Apple's outcome today was theorized by Steve decades ago. You can skip to 25:44s to see Steve's explanation of the fall of a great company or watch the entire interview. Link is here ---https://youtu.be/TRZAJY23xio?t=25m44s

Says I cannot watch the video because in my country we are not allowed to watch videos...

or something about copyright in mangolia.. tv company or country, not sure.

So the only ports available on the new MacBook Pros may not be compatible with the very devices that are specifically designed to take advantage of the ports?!

This MacBook Pro is doomed to the fate of the iPad third-gen, I think. At this point, I fully expect Apple to release a new MacBook Pro next summer to put this one out of its misery.

here we come, another thousand comments of outrage about an issue from which no one is going to suffer and no one would remember a week from now.

this is macrumors forum after all...

I remember when it was a tech forum and actually had information. Here we have basically shared one firms press release and 100 knee jerk reactions about an issue that doesn't seem to affect any of the people posting. Totally devoid of any real useful information. Sad.

I think a lot of users here missed the early keyword in the title, most like incomplete products, like you know a certain exploding phone!

Totally agree with you, am starting to wonder why I visit this site.

I think that is Quad Core version (15" MacBook Pro), I just saw dell website this morning, they had couple of systems with 7th Gen CPUs.

http://ark.intel.com/products/95443/Intel-Core-i5-7200U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz

The CPU you linked is 15w. The only machine that could have gone in is the entry level (MO touch bar) 13". The higher end 13" and the 15" use 28w and 45w. This has been posted endlessly and someone keeps making the incredible "discovery"

Outdated? In the eye of the beholder. Still a fantastic device. Personally I think it's a great deal for him

Outdated isn't eye of the beholder.

It's objective fact. This 2016 machine wasn't competitive at this price 18 months ago.

The 2015 model was...

How about the most pre-orders of a MacBook Pro ever?[/QUOTE said:
Well I can't blame Apple for putting that out there as a piece of good news, but you do have to bear in mind that it has taken them so long to release a new MacBook Pro that it is not surprising, simply because so many people were ready to buy an update. I don't think all those orders are down to universal excitement about price or performance.

Thought over the weekend. Ordered a 15" maxed with 1tb. Canceled today. F it. Going to a maxed 2015.
That will last me 3 years at least.

Saved 1k so far in my search to buy one anyway.
I did the same thing. This is not a very professional mobile system. Hello illuminated  logo!

Apple gave this statement to Apple Insider:

"While we have no comment on Plugable's specific complaint, products using the newest Thunderbolt chipsets, with up-to-date drivers, will have no difficulty connecting to any 2016 MacBook Pro," Apple said in a statement to AppleInsider.

It's not a hardware issue (or firmware) issue, it's a software or kernel extension issue. I bought the TB32DP2 and it worked fine under bootcamp on the MBP Late 2016 with dell 5k screen that needs 2 displayports. Under macOS the profiler said not supported. So I returned it.
What are you doing? Injecting actual information in this thread, between all the whining.
