Anyone have any idea when this Update is going to take place at wat time during the day. Someone mentioned the Apple Store would be down for maintence. Its still up so I dont know whats going on..

It's only 2:14am at Apple HQ (Pacific Central Time). You'll need to wait a bit longer, about 4 hours till the store goes down for maintenance.

What if the 'top secret' new features in Leopard are nothing more than a revamped user interface? Maybe that's it. A few new widgets and less brushed metal. And they had to redo the widgets anyway because of the new resolution independence.

And perhaps any new MacBook Pro design will be more akin to the last 'major' change where Apple added the magnetic power plug and a built-in iSight camera. Nice evolutionary step, but hardly revolutionary.

Actually, I feel Apple has made some fairly radical product debuts. eg: The original "gumdrop" iMac, the "desklamp" iMac, features like MagSafe and Backlit keyboard, etc...

I loved the G4 iMac I wonder if I could now get one cheap, preferably with a 17" screen...

It starts again, (Macbook update last week)

I don't want a MBP but can't wait to see what they do ?

I agree. And calling the MBP a four year old dinosaur is not harsh.

Now I'm confused.

If a four year old MacBookPro is a dinosaur, where does that leave my 3.5 year old PowerBook.

Why was I buying a Powerbook, if MacBook Pros had been out for at least six months?

MBP's that cook you breakfast, clean your teeth and satisfy other manly needs would be fantastic. Otherwise, i'm just happy for some considerable hardware changes The 13.3 MBP would be nice, but here's to dreaming.
