How capable do you think the current or rumored slightly updated macbooks will be with running leopard? I am weary that they won't be able to handle all of the visual features of leopard due to the weak integrated graphics processor. Anyone think they will be capable of running the visual effects of leopard just fine? I really want a macbook because of the portability, and I no longer play games, only photoshop and office programs. I am just afraid to switch from my 17" notebook with an nvidia 7800gtx go, 2ghz (single core), 2gb ram for something that will be sluggish with all of the tasks that I am used to performing.

I think that's actually the most compelling reason for updating the GPU.. it just doesn't make sense to have an update to the macbooks that doesn't fully support Leopard

Please don't shun me for asking this but...

I have the newest version of the MacBook. Will leopard make my computer slower in any shape or form when i upgrade? Will my computer run the 64bit version of Leopard?

Thanks!

Has anyone noticed that on the official OS X Leopard page that it shows a macbook running it? The macbook looks the same as far as exterior design, so does that mean no update to aluminium casing? I hope there still is an update because I plan to buy a macbook in the near future..

These videos were made ages ago, they mean nothing about hardware changes...they even have the old Leopard background...

All Core 2 and Xeon Macs are 64-bit.

Guess I'll definitely wait till early November for my MacBook, installed with Leopard. coz the Leopard is not that cheap with edu discount, it also requires faster processors which is hopefully what comes out with the upgrade.

what's more, I hope the new prices for MB's will reflect the CAD-USD exchange rate, just like the Leopard. That'll save me another extra $100-$200.

The processors are fast enough in the current hardware.
