Finally got a "prepared for shipment" status. I don't know if that really means anything as my CC still has a pending charge, but I still got a bit giddy when i saw this new status in my order. (placed order Jan 9th).

Well, it's good to hear that yours has not been shipped yet since you're before me. Did you have a base model, keep me updated when yours actually ships.

Will do. Here are my Specs...
2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM 2X2GB
320GB Serial ATA @ 7200 rpm
SuperDrive 8X
DISPLAY-HI RES, GL,Widescreen

I have 2 questions:
1. Anyone know how long the "prepared for shipments" lasts?
2. Also is it possible to break the "refresh" button in the browser window from clicking it every 2-3 minutes?

1) About 24 hours or so.
2) Every time you hit refresh :apple: pushes your shipping time out by one hour...

Spoke too soon earlier, looks like my laptop will show up around when I take off for the US on Feb 19. Late plane in Shanghai at 5:41am on its way to Cologne Germany, imagine it has a lot of the European bound laptops.

It depends. They're only going to ship them out once a day, so if yours gets prepped in the AM China time, or after the shipping cut off time, it can sit there a while before you get a tracking number.

That would suck, my order form is on auto-refresh every minute so today along I would have killed around 720 kittens. :(

Every time you post a complaint about your MBP not shipping yet, Steve Jobs kills a kitten. He then uses the life energy from the kitten to make himself stronger. That's how he rolls.

there obviously hasn't been many complaints about the MBP's lately then considering he's taking 6 months off ill.

Ok fellas, the 19th is only around 30 hours away, Texas time.

For those with a 19th ship date, you should get a "preparing to ship" or something of that sort tomorrow at some point. I expect to see it. If not, that means they will generate all the updates on the 19th.

The 19th is a big day for Apple since so many are not getting theirs shipped early with 19th shipping dates. I am thinking of those ordering after 1/21 through 2/5 (or close to that range).

So for those with 19th shipping dates, keep an eye out, lock your doors, and "prepare for shipment!!!!!!"

I know this is just me, but is anyone else who has a 19th shipping date refreshing their apple.com/orderstatus page to see it the moment the status changes from "not shipped yet" to anything else (and I mean anything else)?

Those that are on auto refresh, must have his set and home paged and everything.

Just curious.

Don't bother dude, you'll just lose sleep. I've had a crazy number of Apple orders over the years, all with me doing super-nonstop-page-refresh. It won't change at midnight on the 18th.

Yeah, but man, you gotta love this stuff!!! Nah, I am like most everyone else, just looking forward to filling that blank spot on the desk, giving my computer back to my wife so we have our own stuff and moving on. My desk has been empty for 3 weeks. I don't use this stuff for work, but it sure helps with the studies.

I ordered the anti glare model on Jan 6 at 10:59 AM PST. I'm still "Not Yet Shipped" on Apple's Order Status page. It says "Ships: February 27th". But...I noticed this morning that my credit card available balance is down the amount of the purchase, but no charge has been made yet. Could I be close?

Credit card is no indication of the shipping or not. Mine wasn't charged until after prepared for shipment.

I got that on the 14th and no movement yet.

I have a anti glare pre-order here too...

Ordered on the 1/13, my CC was authorized last Saturday, I am still waiting for the shipment status to change. I am scheduled for a 2/27 shipment.
