I went to Best Buy here in Atlanta on Friday, and they had 4 Juice Pack Air on the rack. I picked one up and really like the design, but I have a gripe, and I'm not sure if it's a one off defect on my case or not.

It seems when applying pressure to the band around the phone, just under the volume down button, it is possible to adjust the volume. I have turned down the volume to nearly 0 without even noticing at the time.

I haven't been able to find any other info online with people having this issue, so wanted to ask here if anyone else has experienced this?

I have not experienced this with my product red version.

@thaghost: I don't think he is angry more irritated that certain people only seem to post on here to get views for their youtube channels. Not only is it against the ToS but it is annoying to watch a video that is basically one long advertisement.

Agreed. I'm not sure we need 100 videos of exactly the same thing. The first time someone gets a product it's fine to make a video, but to have multiple of the same thing is unnecessary. We know you're excited to finally join the party, but keep it to yourself, and keep the forum on topic. If your review says the same thing as everyone else's review it really doesn't add anything productive to this dialogue. Anyhow, I have said my comments.

I bought one jus to try it. For me the lack of sync passthrough is an absolute deal killer. I can deal with it not charging with a lightning cable. Apple's lighning cable is a great product feature unique to iOS products, so to go back to micro usb was annoying. But what was absolutely unacceptable is to have to actually remove the bottom of the case and use the original cable to sync, no thanks.

I will wait till a product comes to market that doesn't cause one problem to fix another.

I just received my Product Red version.

When you aren't first, you need to be way more thorough. Why would anyone want to see yet another review where only the design is shown and the repeating of specs that we all know? Use it for a week or two, get a good feel for it. Does the battery keep its promise of 100 % extra battery life? How is the fit after a week, does it collect dust, is dust collecting on the inside, is it prone to scratch the iPhone when removing and putting it back on as some people do with battery packs?

You know, answer questions that people have regarding the actual use of the accessories instead of being late to the description game and you'll have a way more popular channel.

Just a tip...

Why post up a video when you can talk about the accessory or device here on this forum? Taking about it here on the forum is a better contribution to this community for further discussion than posting up a video.

Sadly most who post up a video in these forums end up running away with the free view and hopes of getting more subscribers.

Also if you are going to do a review, please put it to a real world test for a week or two before writing or creating a video. Lots of YouTubers and "bloggers" always want to be the first to put their review up without actually using the device in a real world setting. That IMHO ruins their credibility as a reviewer/blogger/journalist but who cares right? You put it up online first and say the most vague and obvious things for a review without actually putting the unit to a real world test. You will get the views first and subscribers.

Unacceptable.

I agree 100% ... it's like all of the iPhone unboxing videos posted 3-4 weeks after the first one. In this day in age, every unboxing is exactly the same, and telling us what's in the box is a waste of time, we know, the product has been out for a while. Give us something new or it's just spam.

I think it falls into the same category as the type of person who posts "Should I buy a ____ now, or wait until the next one comes out" .. they need assurance and acknowledgment from their peers (community members here). I am sure it won't be the last time someone posts an unboxing video. My guess is someone is going to post a white version unboxing, as if it's any different of a process than the red or black. LOL. Maybe the white one will come with an entirely different package, and maybe it'll have a whole new and exciting set of features, hehehehee

Does anyone have a coupon of some sort? I just don't want to spend $100!
Ahh.

Verizon does 25% off when you buy them from them, in store and online, provided your company participates... if not, just google verizon corporate accessory discounts and you'll find links that'll help you ;-)

can't you just sync over wifi?

You must be new to the Internet. :D

Being the first or the hundredth video isn't the point. Just like people on MR who don't search before starting a new thread on the same topic, their purpose is not to inform others. It's to draw attention to themselves.

I know, I just thought maybe there was a bit higher than average level of intelligence in here. hehe

I have the Air in hand and I like the case. The issue I really have is the syncing plus the power button is hard to press. I noticed http://www.amazon.com/Maxboost-Defender-External-Protective-Battery/dp/B00B4O7GIA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1364384655&sr=8-2&keywords=maxboost this on Amazon and ordered one up. It is the same thickness as the air and same matte finish. It allows syncing as well plus it looks like it is overall shorter than the Air. Reviews are good and its $30 cheaper. I have one on the way for delivery tomorrow. I will let you know how it compares.

I keep seeing this one. Tempting. I DO want to see your review of this one.

I'm defiantly interested to hear your thoughts. The two people I know that got tired of waiting for a Mophie had terrible experiences with a knockoff charging case so I'm a little gun shy buying something other than a Mophie.

Well, from what I can tell, this is definitely not a knockoff. They have a very nice website and also had good reviews on their older cases. Most of the reviews on Amazon have "pleasantly surprised" in their reviews. I will report back.

No such thing as a "knockoff" of a mophie. Battery cases were around long before mophie.

There are good and bad non-Mophie cases. When I was in Bangkok I bought 2 battery cases for my old iPhone 4. One was amazing, far better than the mophie. One sucked. They were both under $10 USD

Yeah that's true. I just meant a cheap case by an unknown manufacturer. Which in my 4 and 4s experience has been bad but I'm sure there are great cheap alternatives out there.

a little silly question

anyone has any clue whether or not mophie will bring out more colors for the iphone 5 battery case?

(7 colors for 4/4s and only 3 for 5 :/ )

thanks!

Well I returned the first air case I bought from best buy it had a connection problem. Battery would connect and disconnect. Picked up a replacement and this one is going back also. When you slide the pieces together fit is all good on the back but the front I can see the metal band on the side of the phone. Big enough gap that its annoying. Not leaving the store this time till I open the box to make sure fit is good. What a pain in the ass. Come on mophie quality control please.

I ordered mine online and received it last week
I won't be using it often at all, but will be nice to have

Tested it out and was very pleased with it
Lighter and less bulky than I expected actually

No issues
