Well I returned the first air case I bought from best buy it had a connection problem. Battery would connect and disconnect. Picked up a replacement and this one is going back also. When you slide the pieces together fit is all good on the back but the front I can see the metal band on the side of the phone. Big enough gap that its annoying. Not leaving the store this time till I open the box to make sure fit is good. What a pain in the ass. Come on mophie quality control please.

Yeah, their quality has become the same as the cheapie $40 non-branded models...

Picked up the white JPA at bestbuy today. So far, so good. Gonna put it through the paces this week to see how well it holds up.

Only Problem I had with the white is it was way to slick..I sent my back for the red. Wife has the red and its got a rubbery feel to it not nearly as slippery as the white.

If anyone's in the LA area, I picked up a White JPA at the BestBuy in Glendale. There was one left after I took mine. Like others have said, it's slick as heck but I really do like it against my White iPhone 5 and Bodyguardz glass screen protector. It's still real earlier to do any review but one thing I noticed is that when I'm charging both the phone and case, it'll charge the phone first THEN the case.

Charging not Supported

It looks like it is charging after getting the not supported message but no charging symbol.. I have emailed Mophie Support on this.

I liked it too with my white iPhone but after I dropped it 3-4 times and scuffed it on top I just had to return it for the red. Hold it tight it will get away from you.

damn it...after watching the video on the red JPA i think i want to return the black for red...it looks really good..

Please let us know what you hear back from them. Mine is doing the same thing.

I just picked up the black Air from verizon, 25% discount too..WOOT WOOT!

I just bought one from BB but it looks like I'll be heading to AT&T after work. My friend just bought one and I think I have a 25% or 35% discount.

Thanks!

Has anyone come across a better solution for a headphone adapter? Something with a much smaller profile, ideally? It just seems like the included one is unnecessarily long. I'd prefer something smaller (even if it's somewhat difficult to remove) over the long and flexible option.

Back in the iPhone 2G days, there used to be direct adapters that weren't floppy or plastic, but entirely solid. You can look for one of those, but beware they come with the problem of no flexibility. So you run the risk of damaging your phone if you drop it or pull at it sharply.

Anyone have any issues with the slickness of the White JPA? Does it chip at all? This is my first Mophie case so any help is appreciated! My GF stole my red and I'm trying to get her a white one so I can keep the red for myself :p

BTW, BB's should have all 3 colors now.

For me the White JPA was both too slick AND too bulky for my case. For me, I came from an iPhone 4 in either a defender or battery case but with the iPhone 5 went near naked. I just couldn't take the extra bulk (for me) and the slickness. I'll be sticking to a cable to an external battery I have. I'm currently using a knackered up Spigen Ultra thin but I think I'll just look for other thin cases!

I totally disagree. Their quality seems as good as ever. The new JPA design is drastically better than previous models as well as slimmer but still has the rubbery finish that's not too rubbery as to become a lint magnet. Other case makers can't seem to find the sweet spot as mophie has in this area and I can't think of another battery case or regular case u can buy that has the same high quality look and feel while maintaining great customer service. They stand by their warranties will replace any faulty or defective case NQA.

Of course, as with anything else, when any product is mass produced there will be some issues but I've bought about 7 of these things and have never had a problem.

But how are the cases cheap? I don't see that at all!? I bought the incipio battery case and a lifeproof and a few others that felt cheap and plasticy and flimsy lol but not Mophie!?!?

Please specify "cheap"
THX!

- Mophie has no USB pass through, cheap versions do
- Mophie is 1700 mah, cheap versions have as much as 2200 mah
- Mophie has no kickstand, some cheap versions do
- Mophie is about $99, cheap versions are about $40
- Mophie is always last to market, cheap versions are first

I'm not saying Mophie is bad, it's just if you're going to charge 2x the price you better be able to offer more than just "good customer service" ...

I had the Mophie Juice Pack for the iPhone 3G, and in comparison, the iPhone 5 version feels plasticy and cheap. And having to take the case off to sync the phone is utter horse poop. No sale for me!

well i can say this:

first JPA i got connection was bad...would charge then not charge (make the sound then not) ran real hot also..

replacement was good on this but the fit on the front i could see the chrome bezel on one side so much it was annoying..

third one...fit good , battery good..top lock button seems like its ready to fall out any minute..

i think i give up..
anyone know how many times you can exchange ?
quality is def down a little..i love mophie but they are not checking before boxing with these defects.
