Nope, it does now show. tried everything for the past 2 days. It only shows if I first add it to "My Music" and from there add to Playlist.
As for offline: I have marked the whole playlist as "make available offline". That means that all current songs AND future added to the playlist should be available offilne. Right?
Nope. it makes only the ones already in the playlist offline. For new ones that I add I have to mark each song separately as offline.

This is so stupid and one of the worst music apps available. Can't believe it comes from Apple. But than again they have a reputation to f**k everything up that is related to "The Cloud".

For now Spotify is light years ahead.

What is more moronic is I can't stream on cellular and still only download app updates on wifi...

Nope, it's not the app. It maybe some kind of bug or user error that you are experiencing.

That's kinda annoying. I worked around that issue by turning off cellular data for the App Store.

It's the app. I don't care if it's a bug or anything else. For me the end user it's the functionality of the app that is not ok.

Sure the app is kinda heavy on features and buttons. But can't say I agree with all the complaining. Took 30 min to get used to the app and almost all issues people are having is doable in the app. It's not even hard to find. Want to do something with and artist, song or album? Press the three dots. Want to shuffle an artist or album? Click on it and press shuffle at the top.

One complaint I have though is if you add a song from an album into my music and then decide you want to add the whole album. You have to first remove the song you first added to be able to add them all. Or add them one by one.

This is true only if you access the album via the song. If you use the search to find the album you are able to add the entire album with one click.

Just downloaded the update last night. I see the Music App is still being worked on by the Interns at Apple. I can't believe they can't get a simple music player that works for the user. I sorted by artist and title in settings and it's still a mess when you have 50 albums by 1 artist. Why do they also keep shrinking my cover art photos? I still believe the best Music app was iOS 6.

It appears that for songs which are actually on your phone, there is a very tiny iPhone icon at the top right of each song in the list when in views other than "Songs" such as Album or Artist.
Is it just me or does this only appear correctly if you make songs available offline at the song level? I've been making albums available offline, and the individual songs within them don't showthis icon. When I tap the ... (more options) I get the option to make available offline. But they already are offline - which I can prove by turning off internet, plus the ... (more options) on the album is to remove download (rather than make available offline).

Buggy.

The same thing is happening with me. Hopefully they will work these things out sooner than later.

As someone who does not want to use streaming but only play from the library I notice some severe problems:

1. At least 50% of the whole ui are useless to me but no option to remove

2. I used to switch a lot between artist title and album in the bottom bar which is now gone

3. A lot of things take now at least one more interaction (press screen) to work

4. The app causes a heavy battery drain from wanting to be online all the time without a necessity to be as I only play from the library and don't need radio connect and streaming

Apple Music navigation and user interface is just horrible. One of the most complicated apps I have ever used and definitely by far the most complicated by apple. Unbelievable. Don’t think my parents are gonna be able to use this, they get around spotify just fine.

What is going on?

I completely disagree.

I think the navigation is much easier than Spotify.

Really enjoying the app.

Joke of the day:). Spotify's interface and menu is way better. Apple has been good in copying lately. I hope they get "inspired" a little bit by Spotifu:). Untill than I won't use it... Not even for free.

I want to customize my tap. It used to be there but now it's gone. Why is that Apple?

Oh...Ping 2. Taking the precious tap space.

1-3 is actually 1 point.

4. I didn't notice my battery draining any faster. Nor did I notice the app wanting to be online all the time. What I did notice is that my battery will drain when I fiddle with the app a lot (which is normal).

Notice your phone getting hot when using the music app? My iPhone 6 does.

Looking in settings/usage and it’s high in the list despite little usage.

Ok, obligatory stupid question coming up!!!

I'm currently using iTunes match on my devices. Whats the difference between this and the new Apple Music service - which one do I use?!

Nope.

Was a message included in the battery usage tab for the music app?

I depends on what you want to do.

If you only play your own songs you should use match.

If you want to have access to most of the iTunes library and your own music use music.

The former is cheaper that the latter. The former is drm free while the latter is not.

I've noticed that listening to apple music on my ipad air, the audio is too low. I have it turned all the way up, and it's not enough, I go to spotify, and its loud, loud enough for me to have to lower the audio. anyone else get that?

So try turning that off.

For everybody who didn't knew here are some precious tips:
1. Remove "Connect" button and save precious real estate:
Settings -> General -> Restrictions -> Apple Music Connect (set to off)

2. Play Explicit version of the song:
Settings -> General -> Restrictions -> Music & Podcasts -> turn Explicit on

You're welcome.

Great update to the app, but it is confusing. the app changes its layout when you sign up for apple music. seems weird to me.

BUT i thoroughly enjoy the fact that now, navigation goes Artist --> Album --> songs. As opposed to before... Artist ---> Looong list of songs.

Love the update. However, it could be made more simple. I feel like they totally could've have created a new app for Radio and 'for you'

Has anyone figured out how to display album lengths? I used to choose the next album based on the overall length, depending on how much free time I had.
