New PowerMac G4's

It's no G5, as I'm sure everyone will point out... but the low end, I believe dropped $100... iMac's still a great deal (esp the $1799)... but a $1599 Tower is as well if you want the expandability/ monitor support.

well they decided to postpone g5 because they say that the g4 is so flexible they might be able to make one do 2ghz

just for all the clowns who don't understand why anyone would pay for a three thousand dollar machine, i think it's easy enough to assume that anyone paying for a three thousand dollar machine is a professional looking for professional grade computers.

therefore, that person is expecting at least SOME return on investment.

i sure as h.ell don't have a problem dropping three grand on a machine if my hourly rate has it paid for with a week and a half...and when doin dv editing in FINAL CUT, not dirt-arse Premiere, a three thousand dollar Mac sure does make paying the bills a helluva lot easier than churning away on some Intel.
