To be fair I should have asked if you were serious because I suspected you might with the smiley face. My apologies if that was overtly directed at you. It was meant to be general.
All good GuruZac, thanks for your reply!

What does homosexuality have to do with sex? Why, it's the thing that separates homosexuality from the 97% of non-homosexuals that practice heterosexual sex. Discussing homosexuality is discussing your sexual attraction to someone of the same sex, and, presumably, sexual intercourse with someone of the same sex, so yes, sex is relevant to this topic.

But of course you knew that.
And there was me just thinking they were new watch faces...

We get yet another Pride watchface and meanwhile after all these years apple just wont release a square themed watchface (with numbers) unless you go ahead and buy a Hermes...

I dont get it. I dont want a Hermes watchface, i want a simple square watchface with numbers, like the Utility ones which are round atm.

Why is it so hard to offer this???

But many of these people do not want to be treated equally. They seem to want preferential treatment. In my honest opinion, we should treat everyone with the same degree of kindness.
You do understand though that a lot of people don’t treat gay people very kindly though? There is still a lot of stigma is backward proportions of society where people think homosexuals should keep their sexuality secret. I know some have the perception gay people force this in people’s faces but it’s not really that simple. There can be negative backlashes over small public displays of affection for instance.

Just looking though this thread I’ve seen moronic comments asking why Apple doesn’t have a heterosexual watch face? I think many underestimate how hostile it can be in public.

absolutely horrible watch faces... tried those and those are useless in a reality - trying to read the white text on the rainbow coloured stripes it is a pain in the ...

i dont understand this obsession not to be able to customize the watch face as you wish. im sure i have a better taste and ability to design my own watchface to be clearer and more informative than the person (or the team) working at the office on apple. seeing those designs makes me think that does the team has any know-how at all to design watchfaces...

"Evil". Ignorance is bliss ain't it?

Or rather "stupidity is bliss"

The very best are the stupid people think they're "woke" or know better than intelligent informed people able to apply critical thinking and rational thought to a situation instead of faux intellectualism from some idiot Tweet both who exploits you for ad revenue with clickbait.

It's hilarious to watch from the outside.

Accurate!

Pride isn't about sex, but rather identity. The rainbow represents inclusiveness, not anything having to do with sex per se. It's only natural that this cause has principally been advanced by the LGBTQ population, which has been discriminated against in many ways. When many of us wear things like this, we aren't necessarily doing it to tout anything about ourselves (I'm mostly straight), but rather to let those still in the closet know they have support.

Thanks for your support and making the world a better place! :D

That goes for anyone that supports pride or anything that betters our world. Life is short, live it to the fullest! Gotta have fun! :)

You can’t choose your sexuality but you can choose to be religious. It’s not difficult to understand.

When people use the "you chose to be gay" thing with me, I then ask them, when did you choose to become straight? Most all look at me weirdly and say, I didn't choose to be straight, I was born this way. I smile and repeat their answer back, you were born that way? They say yes. I then say, so was I. They are stunned for a while, just for a bit but it's long enough for me to enjoy that sweet sweet victory while they come to terms with their answer and just how asinine their comments are... before they try another approach. Lol

Lol, nice straw man. Most of us conservatives would rather have politics be out of our tech. But alas, here we are because most tech companies are liberal and think they know better than the rest of us.

Does the fact that it's an optional face make any difference? I'll admit that if they put up an AR-15 face I'd prolly be a bit upset. But as long as I wouldn't have to load it...

Apple has been politician for years. Long before Steve died. You all just don't remember. Apple's been standing up for equality for longer than 8 years. Try decades.

What right an LGBT+ individual doesn't have in 2019 America? Be specific please.
Can't you be fired for not being heterosexual in half the states? Landlord throw you out onto the street? I don't know, I rarely read into social issues because they're a cluster-**** of emotional baggage and that's boring to me.

Sure. Maybe in Muslim countries. I don’t see a lot of gays being stoned to death or thrown off bridges in the USA. In fact, gays are so hated that the CEO of the biggest company in the US is a homosexual, as is one of the leading Democratic presidential candidates. From Indiana, no less!!

Well it's sometimes about being murdered (Matthew Shepard). Mostly it's about things like not being able to rent an apartment or being fired from a job. Little things like that. Cook got his job because he was seen as the best. I doubt his sexuality only came up briefly with the PR department. And 10 years ago being gay would have been fatal to a presidential candidate. Now it's not such a big thing. Progress.

What do you see that they're asking for that is preferential? Asking not to be discriminated against is all they seem to be looking for.

Because it’s not really about sex. When you see a man and woman walk down the street holding hands are they flaunting their sexual activities? No. It’s romance, family, relationships, life.

I can't stand when people say this "why do people feel the need to talk about their sex lives"? I even see LGBT friends use that as an excuse to stay in the closet. It is so reductive, so I ask right away "when you co-worker is talking about his wife - is he also talking about his sex life?" and they have no words.

In some states there is no sexual orientation protection, hence LGBT+ are not protected... but so aren’t straight individuals.

Marketing at it's finest. You do realize they care nothing about your feelings but they'll use them to the end of time to make a buck...don't you?
