26 posts in this thread, 5 for white + red, 4 for black + red. not quite the outright majority you claim.

and what is with your outright hostility? your posts are quite antagonistic.
Not hostile. Too many people have an opinion and are too arrogant and selfish, automatically assuming it's truth.

And I wouldn't use a random online forum as a sample for color preferences...

Why do people care about the color of their phones when most put them in cases anyways?

The Product RED branding is white and red.
GET OVER IT.

Err, not necessarily. For example:

Could this be Apple testing how well a colored iPhone will do with their customers. Possibly testing for the next iPhone?

That white bezel though. If this would have had a black bezel, this would be a perfect combination with black and red.

Still for a great cause.
[doublepost=1490202024][/doublepost]Certainly makes me consider getting the red battery case for my black i phone 7 as the Red i phone 7 has only white bevel

So? Again, maybe it goes over your head, but for the third time, I am talking about what I believe looks best, not about what colors product red branding is or what represent "health" like another person suggested. Why do people flip out like this when another person has a different opinion?

Because, as I said, they introduced three colors on one phone that makes it look a bit cobbled together and cheap. Silver touch ID ring, Apple logo, and lightning port with white front, and red shell?

Agree - There is also now 4 white face options(Silver, Gold, Rose, and now Red), and 1 black option (2 if you count both Matte/Gloss case options) switch it up a little. I love the gold, but don't want the white faceplate so I'm stuck with black and only black.

Seriously, who cares? Another color of the existing iPhone, another option for the storage,
another watch band. Where is anything REALLY new? Where is a Mac? Any Mac? iMac, Mac Pro, anything?
Why shouldn't we care? It's a really good looking colour and it's for a good cause. I'm all in on the product RED.

The white bezel makes way more sense than a black one, people. This is to bring attention to health, not U2 or death metal. Black and red is too dire, plus red and white are the colors which represent medical attention.

The silver Touch ID ring is absolutely lazy, however. That totally should have been a matching red.

Yeah, the red and black reminds me of dracula.

T: Hey, that homebutton ring, shouldn't it be red ?
J: Weuh ? No time to invest in a button that will be orphaned anyway.
T: But we are known to put attention into every detail ?
J: No, for milking every penny out of existing designs. And I am sooo busy.
T: OK, so 3000 young and talented designers can't make a red ring. Don't bother. How's your new Bentley ?

Just as an FYI in reply to the comment made in the video of "It is really easy to switch these displays out"

These New iPhone 7 and 7 plus like the 6s and 6s plus all have an PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) underneath the display bezel adhering it to the body, resulting in the splash, water and dust resistant IP67 under IEC standard 60529. Also these new devices open like a book, not like your standard iPhones in the past. So switching out these displays is no walk in the park, However yes I would love to have seen a black front on this beautiful Red iPhone 7 and I do believe that is where Apple fell short on this product but then again if I was making those kind of decisions I wouldn't be sitting in my kitchen writing this comment residing in the midwest...

Edge case.

When the product is sold under the guise that it's a special edition product red iphone and not just a "red iphone" you'd think that the brand cooperating here would have a say in what they want the special edition looking like.

Um new Apple hardware doesn't mean recycled iPad Airs from what... 2013 / 14? No thanks.

Apple doing something logical to cater to / satisfy us consumers? Lol get outta here.

A recycled iPad Air?
Go Google A8X vs. A9.
Lol, never mind... you're right- if the OUTSIDE doesn't get slimmer, it must = fail.
You people are HILARIOUS!!!!! I 100% guarantee you're one of the people that whine & say "I hate Jony! It doesn't need to be thinner... why don't you greedy people just keep it the same thickness as before & sell it cheaper?!".... of course, now that has happened- so you move the goalposts, make up ridiculous lies about a product w/ a significantly faster processor, and a significantly smaller price tag, etc.
Lol, is an iPhone SE a recycled iPhone 5 from 2012?? Lmao. Get outta here!

I think you're both a bit off, given the (PRODUCT)RED iPhone is red because of the association with the HIV/AIDS group. I would assume Apple looked at both black and white screen bezels (and maybe even red) and chose white for a reason. My guess is that the black bezels created a strange black and red look that was off-putting (which is how I would see it).
Red front would look as bad or worse than a white front. I think you are a bit off, it's not (PRODUCT) RED & WHITE. The front face should be for the consumer to decide. White distracts the eyes from the screen and makes the bezels look bigger than they are. My iPhone 4 was white and I hated it.

Looks are subjective though. I bet it came down to Apple having more white faces in stock than black faces so they were cheaper to make, considering the color almost certainly added some cost. Make no mistake this is a choice driven by money, I'm just not sure how.

That's fine, but again, not at all the point I was making. Was just offering an opinion on what I believe looks best and what the phone should have looked like.

Don't get why everyone wants it all black. I think all white with the red looks way better. And I think the unit in this video is just an early model - Look at Apple's website. That Apple logo looks really white to me

Good taste is a very rare thing; you appear to have it, you must have been brought up well. :)
