The absolutely TIRED form factor, for sure. Just look at it side by side with a Note 7.

I see an iPhone, and some POS imitation that is for people who simply don't know any better.

Don't be obtuse. You can see exactly what I'm talking about. iPhones right now have arguably the worst screen-to-body ratio in the industry. It feels inelegant and blocky. I didn't think I'd see the day Samesung would outdesign Apple in their own game.
And you still haven't.

Those Shamescum "devices", if you can even call them that, are hideous.

Not referring to the 6S, referring to the extremely small steps forward by the 7.

This would be a best case scenario. Across-the-board refinement. Not sure if that's what we're going to get, however.

I think we are: Modified antenna lines, faster A10 chip, better camera, etc. Nothing earth shattering.

I always love how one rumor "confirms" the death of a different rumor.

Can't these just be iPhone 6.5? Not to be confiused with the new iPad Pro 10.5, which will NOT replace the iPad Pro 9.7, which will just be the "Pro", and the 12 which will be the "iPad Pro Plus". Can't wait until I can get an iPad Pro 10.5 Plus Plus. :/

And you still haven't.

I had a Note 5 and an S7E and hated them. I will say, the display looked beautiful, but as for the form of the phone. Too slippery, hated the curved screen. Hated everything about the form factor with it. I prefer the iPhone. Easier to hold.

I would be very happy with a thicker phone if Apple could perfect the digital zoom and finer depth of field control in the camera. That will make it a really great replacement for those older camCorders. I would be very happy with a thicker phone. Letting it be thicker means they can also have a bigger and longer lasting battery.

I would like them to continue to stick with a consistant numbering. It will help users (average people) know which version of the device they have.

What are analysts saying about the estimated sales for the iPhone 7? I haven't seen anything to date, but I imagine the estimates will be WAY down compared to previous releases.

I have a sneaking suspicion this keynote is going to rival WWDC 2016

I'm sure that whatever analysts are saying is based on substantially less information than the information Apple had when designing the iPhone 7 to begin with, but certainly more information than the armchair CEOs like yourself have when making predictions based on nothing concrete.

Actually I'm glad to see some common sense out of Apple. Pro means connectors, non-walled garden, changeable components, the most powerful processors, etc. Today Apple does not make a single Pro device. Hopefully that changes, but I am not holding my breath.

Pro means professional, It has nothing to do with connections. It has to be a device that can be used in your profession. I use a Macbook Pro for my job and does everything I need to complete my job. An artist might need an iPad that has a Pencil, to do their job. Being in a walled garden (which a MacBook Pro is not in) would have nothing to do with an product being 'Pro' or not.

At least they got the number right. It is basically an iPhone 6se but keep it simple with the #7. Calling it 6se and 6se Plus just sounds awful. But essentially, the iPhone 7 is the SE of the 6 series.

Its not that there are no flaws. Its the fact that there is only so much you can do with a square. If you want something other than what they offer and think Samsuck is better, then go there. You won't be missed by Apple.

Obviously, that's what it means to be an analyst, lol.

You can be my armchair CTO, just know your role ;)

I'm glad that statement makes you feel good. Being a professional usually means slightly more than using a computer to use email, powerpoint, and excel. I have no idea if that applies to you or not and I'm sure there are many people that work and that the current MacBook Pros completely satisfy their needs. I have no problem with that. My clients pay $1800/day for my technical services. The value I have to provide to justify that rate is extremely, extremely high and the tools that I need as a "Professional" are higher than a normal employee.

I hope theres no 'Pro'. Nothing is more frustrating when all 3 phones (if the pro actually existed) have different specs and added features. The OIS on the plus wasn't that much of a big deal but if rumours are true, the 7 won't get dual lens, smart connector and god knows what else. So lets keep it at 7 and 7 plus :)

4 phones, you're forgetting the SE

MacRumors, never and I mean never say a rumor is dead until it's dead. Granted you're probably right about this one, but that's a good way to become the butt of a lot of jokes for years to come if you make such a certain prediction and it turns out to be the opposite!

How can one 'rumor' serve to confirm another?

Remember in grade school when we learned that you can't define one word by using another form of the same word IN the definition? like... Walking (verb). The process of going for a walk.

Basically what's happening here. I mean, I love reading the tech rumors and all, but c'mon, it's worth remembering that they are rumors!

No matter what Apple does with the new iPhone, they still won't be making a single Pro device. A phone, by it's very definition, cannot truly be a Pro device, because there's nothing "professional" you can do with it. It's not like someone's career depends on this phone. No productivity ever really gets done on a phone, that's what computers and certain tablets are for. Those can be "pro", but the iPhone and IMO iPad are not. Waiting for the MBP....

While I agree with you --- Are you familiar with the phrase "gird one's loins" for the backlash you're sure to receive for that comment.
