Yea. I have a 2007 iMac with a 2.4 Core 2 Duo, and I just ordered a 4GB RAM Upgrade kit from Crucial with $30 Saturday delivery because of Lion possibly releasing Today or next week. I want 4GB RAM when I install Lion. $80 for Ram with Sat. Delivery
thats not too bad. Plus adding RAM is the most cost efficient way of adding more speed/power to your system.
If you read the article where the statement is originally from, it was just a guess by the geek.com writer.
I have Microsoft Office 2011, Adobe CS4 suite (including Photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, etc), bryce 7 for mac, trillian 1.1.7, virus barrier express 1.1.2, firefox 5.0.1 for mac, maya 2009 32 bit, yahoo messenger 3.0.1 and skype 5.2 installed on snow lepoard 10.6.8. would those applications work seamlessly on lion without any problems?
not sure about each specific app.. check with the vendor. But i know CS4, Office, and Firefox will work 64bit.. open activity monitor and it will tell what version each app is.
All I have on my Mac is some Apps, iWork, etc. Will this work with Lion? Never thought it would be an issue, just asking because he asked.
Well is a few more hours more for me to wait and see if anything happens. I will be honest though I don't really think there will be a big announcement days or a week before since they kinda said July already. Just my thoughts An example would be Final Cut Pro X i think.

The Lion GM came out on a Friday...in fact two weeks ago (7/1). So, maybe Lion also comes out on a Friday. And if it was slated to two weeks after the GM, that's today.

But CNET cites a new rumor from Chinese Mac site MIC Gadget that Lion will be released tomorrow (July 15th).
Sorry for more rumors, but we need some light in these dark times....even if they just set us up for disappointment
Well now they take it back. It will be next week I guess. So lets just calm down and enjoy the weekend.

Am I the only one who finds it slightly insensitive that Apple would say "coming in July", and now it's July 15th and we're still on the edge with no word of when it's coming?
Can you imagine if they did this with the video game industry? Telling Halo fans that the game is coming out in July, and two weeks and one day into July still no word of when Halo is coming out?
I don't like video games or Halo, but could you imagine what those fanatics would do?
