We must kill every Android user... they will pay for their blasphemy's and lack of respect!!

WE MUST BURN THEM AND THEIR FAMILY!!

THAT WILL MAKE THEM LEARN!

Well the live feed was shambles; and the overall presentation was somewhat lack luster - maybe expectations were set too high by Apple e.g. "the biggest event since 25 Years" and "the Swiss will be scared for the iWatch" ... but nothing shown made me go like, yeah! thats the stuff I will get tomorrow ... too bad.

... btw people with petty responses to ads should lighten up

You know, it's interesting you mention this. I always feel the same, but even with the iphone 1. Then I go look at this stuff in person and think this is the greatest thing ever. Surprisingly I don't regret a single purchase. Even my crazy Expensive Mac pro which is absolutely pushing through everything I throw at it is completely worth it.

I guess keynotes don't excite me. Not until I think how the device will be useful for me. Thought the watch, dumbest idea ever. Thought about it some more and definitely going to get one. Not whipping out my phone sounds very cool and promising.

I think the only keynotes I get excited over is anywhere where Balmer shows up. Those are fun and great to look forward to.

Huh?

I am a great Apple fan, but for various reasons, I had no intention to buy the Apple watch (I am used to my present watch, I do not fancy to have yet another iWidget to charge daily, and apart from (limited) health monitoring functionality, I see little added value of the watch as compared with the iPhone).

But , thanks, Samdung, with the help of those ads, I may consider to buy two Apple watches .....

Super lame

How can any Samsung smartphone owners not be ashamed to be associated with these clowns?

You realize how psychopathic that sounds? No wonder people hate Apple cultists.

Watch Hate

The "Wearable" is just plain pointless, whole ad is based around trying to make the concept of a watch sound stupid or silly then the last few seconds they promote gear. Confused?

New Samsung Ads Poke Fun at Apple Live Stream Issues, iPhone 6 and Apple Watch

My goodness these guys are immature. They've advertised Apple more than their own products. Apple completely ignores them. When you see new iPhone ads, they focus on the iPhone and what it can do. I'm glad Tim isn't an immature prick like these guys.

What am I as a viewer supposed to take away from this?

Exactly. This serves NO marketing benefit whatsoever. The only people who would even get what this ad was about are those that are Apple obsessed and watched the Keynote. And guess what? THOSE people are buying an iPhone 6.

Get over yourself, Samsung.

True, some products are a no brainer e.g. iPad Mini Retina, I went out next day and got a 256GB version; if it is good, it is really really good - same for the MacPro - it stands in a class of its own making comparisons moot.

For the iWatch I believe we will have to wait for a few iterations before it reaches its full potential; it is a connected device but I want it to connect to more than just being a proxy for the iphone

Let waits and see. ;)

Seriously dude? I know that the Scotts want independence, but with folks like you its better to stay on the leash of good ole England.

As a non-native English-speaker you may not know this, but, when when you encapsulate a statement with quotations, as in, "statement," it has to be exactly what the original statement actually was, and usually requires a reference to avoid seeming childish or libelous. Do you have sources for those "quotes?" Literally means literally. And quotes, yeah, they mean literally.

All I'm saying is, be careful stating flamboyant **** you don't corroborate.

Another ad points out that the Samsung Gear S doesn't require a phone for all of its features, like the Apple Watch.

Isn't that because it has a built in 3G module which requires its own data plan? Doesn't much sound like a positive thing to me.

These ads are ridiculous.
A serious company would never broadcast such c**p.
Whoever, in Samsung, made and approved these ads should be fired.
If, until now, i had some thoughts about buying a Samsung smartphone, now they are totally gone.

Never checked out their watch but after watching this http://youtu.be/xOIGUfAlMY0
I can't see why anyone would buy that crap after seeing the apple watch.
But rest assured, a copy will follow soon.

A little confused...

Is this not a little dangerous for Samsung if they rely on Apple's business for a big chunk of their revenue, supplying iPhone parts? If Apple were able to design and source their own parts and drop Samsung like a stone, that would hurt them, right? If I was Apple, I think I'd look at doing that out of spite right now!! 8) But the stream was something Apple will probably not live down for a looooooong while. For that to happen in the first place is bad enough, but for the launch of a product so important? Well...

I'm an iPhone owner from one to 6. I will buy an Apple Watch.

But those are some funny f'n adverts.

good on samsung.

To be fair, I would hope that's two separate departments.

Also, I was hoping there was going to be a Chinese lady talking over them. THEN I would've conceded hilarity. ;-)

They couldnt use the Chinese lady because that may have been seen as being lacist.

Anyone else find it funny that these ads are so tone-deaf that they actually make Samsung look bad instead of the intended effect?

There's a kind of unspoken rule that you have to be funny and avoid looking petty when you do an ad that goes after the competition. Think of Wendy's famous "where's the beef" ads or the Coke and Pepsi delivery guys ads. Hell, even Apple's PC and Mac ads did it. Those ads attack the competition but it's doing it in a way that's amusing and doesn't descend into insult.

These Samsung ads border on being spiteful and childish. It's almost embarrassing to watch. I wonder if they realize how that makes them look?

These ads aren't for the general consumer. These ads are just flame bait that Samsung knows will get a lot of page views on sites like the Verge. But everything you say is true...there's a difference between poking fun and being mean and I think the latter turns people off (outside of the fanboy geeks that post on tech sites).

Despite all the predictable frothing in this thread, I think these ads were well done and hit the nail right on the head. I also thing the Note 4 is a great device, and certainly looks better-engineered than the 6 Plus.

It would hurt consumers more - there are quite a few people who will return their MacBook until they get one with a Samsung ssd or screen. Samsung make decent components
