The fact still remains that these ads will have no impact on the massive sales Apple will do over the next few weeks and months. Demand for the iPhone 6 models will overshadow sales of all Samsung handsets. The truth is that even Samsung's attempts to make good hardware and no doubt the Galaxy phones have great features, but at the end of the day they run Android. That's the point of failure. Maybe Samsung should develop their own mobile OS from the ground up. But wait, they can only copy. They can't actually design anything truly original, not even these ads.

Damn. These people are quick... Maybe they should focus their effort towards making their hardware better rather than... This.

Then again, their crazy marketing seems to have worked so far. I like Android, but gosh I hate Samsung.

They obviously banged these ads out in an afternoon. They are VERY amateurish at best.

Oh well, these ads make Samsung look SCARED out of their minds.

The average consumer isn't going to change their mind about the iPhone 6 because of a live stream issue.

Is anyone going to? Seriously? You won't buy a phone because the live stream of the reveal didn't work? It's not like the event disappeared into the aether, never to be seen again, or like there is no other information to be had. That is just absurd logic.

I don't need these commercials to make fun of apple when they release new products. The members on this forum do quite a good job of that themselves after an announcement.

This is a message to the MacRumors staff. I personally don't think it's in the best interest to post about these ads. Of course, it's easy work for the pageviews, but Samsung ads are not rumors and by posting them they are getting the attention that Samsung wants. This company loves gaining attention with their garish Oscar selfie promotions and White House shenanigans. I bet their social media team is celebrating over the fact that Apple rumor websites one by one are talking about it already.

Let sleeping dogs lie.

I'm not some blind Apple fanboy, but I do find this kind of advertising to be useless. Especially considering that Apple will undoubtedly sell a ton of these phones.

It's called jealousy. Hone in one aspect of a one-off presentation and pretend like it undermines the entire product for its entire lifespan.

Demo-gods are vengeful, and karma is a bitch. I would be watching the next few Samsung presentations closely for demo-god smiting. If/when it happens, Apple should publish a public statement offering their sympathies and understanding. Class beats ass.

This pretty much confirms that Apple has a winner on its hands - Samsung felt obliged to reply and act all nonchalant, and this is the best they could come up with.

Samsung is chalant. Very chalant.

I knew there would be plenty of losers here making fun of Samsung, crying like babies because someone made fun of their favorite religion, I mean technology company.

They probably also cheered and howled just like the morons in attendance when the shocking announcement was made that both the iPhone 6 and 6+ are thinner than the 5c. I mean, come on, less than 1mm is worth mindless cheering? "Thinner" is about the only thing that Jony is good for so "thinner" was expected whether "thinner" was needed or not.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Macs, OSX and my iPhone. There all simply terrific products. Two MBPs, three minis, three iPhones and one MP since 2008 are my claim to fame. I will buy more of them, maybe even an iPhone 6+.

The excellent products in no way make up for the endless, overstated marketing bullsheet that Tim endlessly lisped his way through as if he was describing the second coming firsthand. The hubris and the arrogance were only slightly muted by the fact that the live streaming went so poorly.

That the streaming was all goofed up is not really a big deal at all. It's technology and sometimes it doesn't work very well. I don't not hold tech glitches against anybody.

But of course this is Apple, the get it right folks, the it just works gang. For that reason I really enjoyed trying to listen to Tim and his homies while simultaneously trying to not listen to the Asian audio translation bleeding in.

And I never knew what I was watching; right now?, ten minutes ago?, two minutes ago?, maybe from the future? Very exciting, avant-garde entertainment if you ask me.

It was hilarious and I commend Samsung for pouncing at the opportunity. For what it's worth Samsung is OK too. My HDTV and the monitor connected to my mini that I am writing this on are Samsung. Samsung is no match for Apple in some areas but they make some pretty good stuff.

Always love when they simply cannot show off their products on their own merits. This type of add never really works.

Samsung can get back to us when they livestream an event with as many viewers as Apple had yesterday.

Honestly, why don't they just focus on making their own devices better instead of constantly bashing Apple like a toddler on a playground.

Maybe Samsung should develop their own mobile OS from the ground up.

They have tried.

Tizen is an operating system based on the Linux kernel and the GNU C Library implementing the Linux API.

...

The Samsung Z, the latest attempt to produce a Tizen phone has also been postponed indefinitely, prompting WSJ to call Tizen "an ill-fated project".

Although, the Samsung Gear runs on Tizen, for whatever that is worth (based on the reviews, not much).

Don't get me wrong. I am an old time Apple user. I think these commercials are like the Mac and PC of a few years back. Always the challenger is going to make fun of the incumbent. I just hope that Apple feels the competition pressure and gives us more, for less. Otherwise Apple, will probably slowly keep going down. Not all of the ads show things that make a difference for me, a pen? But it is true that the live even streaming was a major disaster. Not sure whether there was a concerted denial of service attack, a miscalculation of the demand, but it gave a pretty bad impression

I agree. I was just speaking in very general terms. I try not to take these forums seriously.

Apple was mature with their I'm a Mac commercials?
It you don't see the difference, I don't know what to tell you. To clarify, those were in good taste (and humor) and the PC guy (John Hodgman) was very lovable, despite being at the receiving end of Apple's criticism. Whether you agreed with their sometimes exaggerated pros and cons or not, they "attacked" a generic market, not a specific brand.

What's wrong with this stupid company? Making fun of live stream issues? Geez, I think it's run by the same children who made that stupid na na na graphic

The stream was bad, but this commercial is worse... especially the end where they attempt to cram all their features into a crappy, two second frame. Didn't bother watching the other ads. :/

After attempting to watch apple's live stream on both my Apple TV then Mac when that didn't work; I'm very nervous about the prospect of apple "taking on the cable companies." They deliver live events to my TV all day long and seldom have a problem. Fortunately the rumors about Apple TV sets seem to have dried up.

About everyone complaining about the Apple Live Stream fail. Here's what I have to say:

The funny thing is that Samsung couldn't get anyone to care enough, To stream their conference's when it was their turn.

No one cares about Samsung's premature conference. Worry about overload when you can get enough people to care in the first place.:apple:
