More of this please, seriously.
Apple needs all the flak they can get obviously before they start working on their streams.

It's always a mess, this time however it has been a disaster.

I eventually waited for the podcast to appear, since I wanted 1080p whilst I was at not watching live I had to wait "a little longer"... (which means I just finished watching it an hour ago.....)

Seriously, Apple needs to step it up here, I'm willingly watching their marketing, at least make it comfortable and easy!

Glassed Silver:mac

I don't recall the WWDC one being a mess.

not sure these ads are a smart move. seem to give apples new devices even more attention.

Some people on here really take it way to seriously. Apple used to take the P**s out of MS all the time in their ads (they they were more funny) but still, Sammy is just trying to do the same, and hopefully some people will by Samsung Phones because that, just means we get even better iPhones!

Not the best way of poking fun at Apple (feels a bit forced). The stream was a disaster though. I could possibly forgive them for the connectivity issues (barely, they have so much money they should not be making mistakes like that), but the sound issues? Chinese commentator next to their main mic? What amateur did they give the responsibility for it?

Damn. These people are quick... Maybe they should focus their effort towards making their hardware better rather than... This.

Then again, their crazy marketing seems to have worked so far. I like Android, but gosh I hate Samsung.

Think about what you are saying and show you know just a little about all of this.

Compare the hardware from the note 4 to the iphone 6 - The Note 4 is very much ahead there. Their processor, RAM, camera(we have a 4 y.o camera), SCREEN (ppi), watch and most of it, is probaly what will be in a iPhone 12.

I LOVE iOS and that's why I'll buy the iPhone 6+ ... But the hardware it has, is almost tragic.

1. The stream was killed by DoS attacks.

2. Watch this muted as I did by mistake. All it looks like is an advert for Apple. Freaking hilarious! Even with the sound it's hard to tell.

3. Seriously go look at EVERY samsung keynote on youtube if you haven't fallen asleep, been disgusted at the blatant misogyny or laughed your head off then you are not watching... well a Samsung Keynote.

In fact they care enough to actually CREATE something amazing instead of just copying someone else's hard work.

Fact is, a lot of features of the iphone 6 and ios8 already exist in other phones. For apple, the iphone 6 is playing catch up to be able to continue to compete with android. With high quality android phones like the one m8 having the same or superior build quality as an iphone, they just had to implement features that otherwise draws customers to an android phone.

Also, for a company that claims that "it just works", the live steam issues were rather ironic.

Apple used to take the P**s out of MS all the time in their ads...

Correct... and that was when Apple was a distant 2nd place behind Microsoft. Apple knew their position in the market.

So is Samsung finally admitting that they are no match for Apple?

"The first step is admitting you have a problem..."

:D

So many people watched the live stream that even Apple couldn't handle it. I don't think that's a bad thing.

As with political ads that tell me whom NOT to vote for, these just seem petty. I make my decisions on purchasing electronics based on the facts, data, and testing available to me.

Yes, I realize Apple's Mac vs. PC ads were essentially this same kind of thing. My point isn't about how lovely I think Apple is... Just that I think these kinds of ads stink.

Technically, Apple's live streams are normally perfect, but this time they added a new feature, otherwise known as the live blog. It was on the same page as the live stream and due to the way it works, it forced the page to fetch new data constantly. So in the end, bad JSON coding actually caused the problems. I watched it on an Apple TV and it was perfectly fine.

I watched on the Apple TV and my experience was much different than yours. The stream actually crashed my ATV 4 or 5 times. I had to unplug it and reboot it each time. It finally stabilized about mid way through the Apple Pay presentation.

Seriously, you need better, faster internet. I have a mere 20mbps internet speed and streamed it live in 1080p, played it on podcasts in 1080p no problem. Was watching it in 1080p on my iPhone using T-Mobiles network, no problems there either.
No it wasn't the internet speed. Mine is 85/45 and I was having all sorts of problems for at least a third of the keynote.

I wonder how many bricks were **** by Samsung executives when they were watching the special event, now that Apple will be selling phones with bigger screens.. one of the only things that was missing from an iPhone.

Also, an ad just to bash the streaming? Its technology. Its meant to not work perfectly at times.

I don't think they **** bricks. Look at sales numbers. Samsung is doing fine. They where instead probaly laughing at the crappy outdated hardware and camera.

I am a fan of both android and apple products, switch every cycle actually.
I must say everytime I see a Samsung ad topic on MacRumors I MAKE SURE to click on the comments to see all the ********! You guys need to quit crying, good lord. I bet you said the complete opposite when Apple vs Microsoft ads were going around. Hypocrites.

How is this different to the old Mac /PC ads? Get a sense of humour. :)

Samsung will stop making these ads when they think they have nothing to worry about from the big A - so sit back and enjoy it :)

Apple Watch doesn't require a phone for all of its features either. Fail.

You are wrong, the Apple watch need a Iphone for Internet, GPS, notification etc etc..

As I understand the Shamesungs Watch S has a 3G modem, make/take calls, GPS, write messages, which practical means they have narrowed down to a smartphone on a wrist....

What am I as a viewer supposed to take away from this?

Nothing, it's a well oiled machined platform provided by Samsung for Android users to flame Apple and iPhone users because they don't have anything better to do and generally have a low IQ. Notice they didn't make any effort to sell their own product, just to mock Apple's soon to be hugely successful next generation iPhone.

Lame ads, but as former Apple superfan.... i have to say that Apple is looking like the follower now. Cmon did you even show that iwatch to a diverse range of people? It is a ugly joke. Just put a touch sensitive stylus & admit Jobs was wrong. I remember when artists were Apples biggest evangelists & everybody else followed as a result. Now the Apple store looks like a crew of self absorbed texting retards. Still love my MBP with SSD but everything else is starting to look like former glories.

You're comparing Apple's tastefully made and informatively entertaining and likeable Mac vs. PC ads to Samsung's ****** marketing? I think everyone can agree that people really liked the PC guy in those ads, and not once did I feel that they were degrading towards Windows users (which I was one of them back then) unlike Samsung's iPhone customer mocking.
