Till now. Thats what I said, the larger screen that people love so much have been introduced. I'm sure Samsung must have gone into a frenzy thats why these piss poor ads. Outdated hardware and camera?
This seems to be the case whenever Samsung releases their ads. They are mostly critically panned and everyone, including android forums, talk about how stupid they are.
Ironically, the only people I ever see who say they like it are the people who register on macrumors just to tell everyone how bad the iphone is.
Samsung is such a crap company and I'm glad they're losing sales and profits.
I wonder if Samsung laughs at their own questionable decisions:
- Crappy fingerprint sensor
- Eye-Scroll thingy
- Smart Pause
- TouchWiz

Apple should make an ad showing two Samsung users on different carriers and a newer and older phone model attempting to update to the latest version of Android and one having it and the other not having it because it hasn't been pushed by the provider yet. Then show all the iPhones new and old on various carriers able to update OTA at once to the latest software. Really one of the worst features of Android devices.
I guess you never owned a Samsung Note - It's brilliant. I stick to Apple mostly because of the ecosystem. All my devices communicate.
Their TouchWiz is more than nice and you can customize YOUR phone. Eye scroll works perfectly and if I tilt my head while looking at the screen it doesn't tilt, but sees that I'm still looking at it.
And their fingerprint sensor... Yeaaa thats not that good.
Yeah but that would be more of a poke at Android, not Samsung. Look, competition is good so y'all need to chill. Apple has made and will continue making ads that are just as pro apple/negative everyone else as Samsung. That's how it goes.

I actually own one of the Note 10.1 2014 edition. It's an ok tablet. Overpriced for sure. As I expected, many of the Sasmsung features are gimmicks that don't work well. TouchWiz is far from amazing and the fact that it takes months upon months to get software updates is a joke. The screen on it is nice, but the plastic and leathery material gives the product a much cheaper feel. Having now tried a Samsung phone and tablet, I feel that overall Apple simply makes the nicer looking/feeling products that work much more seamlessly, despite maybe lacking a couple features. As a packaged deal, the iPhone or iPad simply work better.
How is this different to the old Mac /PC ads? Get a sense of humour.
Samsung will stop making these ads when they think they have nothing to worry about from the big A - so sit back and enjoy it
It's similar yet different. Mainly, Apple actually put some thought in their Mac/PC ads, where as it appears Samsung put together 6 videos over night that they thought were funny. I don't mind companies doing ads like this, just feel these seem rushed and in bad taste. And just like Mac vs Windows, the little guy is the one that makes these Ads.

TheVerge is a well known for it's Apple bias. Especially of late since it's turned into a complete rag and clickbait site. Look at that title for pete's sake.
Actually, Mikey, it does fall on Samsung at some point.
Google updates the operating system... but Samsung has to put their customizations on it... and the carriers do too.
There are three parties involved... just to provide a software update.

Looks like Samsung is pretty afraid that Apple will really be eating their lunch now that they've entered the large screen market.
another ad by Samsung...looks like Samsung is getting the jitters with the launch of iphone 6/6+ and apple watch ... im pretty sure, a lot of android users will convert to apple now that they have a big phone, plus let's admit it, apple have a big clout in the fashion and entertainment industry and pretty sure their smartwatch initiative will be a runaway success.
as for the live stream ... that was really a failure and that company who provided the live stream just blew their chance of getting another apple gig in the future ... pretty sure, tim and the gang would look for another company for live streaming.

Huh! What smoking Apple, on what grounds? Samsung is getting creamed for 9 months in Asia on the low and mid range and now there is a chance they'll be creamed in the top range.
The A7 still had the best single core performance one year after it came out, now the A8 is 25% faster. They got top of the line screen (in the 6+), top GPU, top quality camera (fastest with best low light performance), best biometric sensor, most compact phone (look at the volume), its a real world phone, it covers all bands, has the best current screen, IOS has progressed much much faster than Android over the past 2 years.

As for poking fun at apple's streaming event. I have to say Apple deserves all the criticism, they completely dropped the ball. in a sense for a company that touts it just works - its an embarrassment.

yes i'll admit that the apple is playing catch up in terms of features, but the real deal is apple is better at implementing it (ie. nfc) at the right time.
