yes i'll admit that the apple is playing catch up in terms of features, but the real deal is apple is better at implementing it (ie. nfc) at the right time.

You see, even that I disagree with. I've been using NFC payments for quite a few things for the past couple of years now and whereas I agree not everywhere has the infrastructure for it yet, many places do. And I don't see how Apple Pay is any way different from how it works on other NFC payment compatible phones. Never mind better.

I'm just very underwhelmed this time around. But then again, I've been underwhelmed by the iPhone since the 4s. Apple just seem to be happy lagging behind, copying the features of everyone else and charging a premium for it two years later. And they're probably very happy doing it because they can get away with it.

I'm getting fed up of these frankly RUBBISH Samsung 'ads' that just spend the whole time trying to take cheap digs at Apple rather than focussing on their own products! Sure sometimes they could be mildly amusing if an individual did them for a bit of fun, but this is a huge multinational company resorting to playground taunts to try sell their products. GROW UP!

I do not usually watch Samsung or Apple commercials.

But the livestream one I just had to watch. After all this trouble, this is truely funny. That, ladies and gentleman is schadenfreude.

I will not buy a Samsung phone now. I just had a fun time. :D

Speak for yourself. Everyone here is an Apple owner, which makes people feel like they're part of a community. But aside from that, I'm sure many people here are stock-holders and you're kidding yourself if you think Apple employees aren't reading this site.

Regardless, these ads are really dumb. In a couple weeks no one will be talking about the keynote anymore. Also as someone else pointed out, I'd be willing to bet the majority of Apple's customers don't watch the keynote streaming live (if they watch it at all). Most of them probably come here or other sites and just read about the new products.

Samsung rely ought to establish themselves as a premium brand, not make petty attack ads against their competition.

i really don't understand the emotion behind this. this ad wasn't attacking the customers like the Samsung iPhone 5 parody of standing outside. you have no reason to be upset. i am not just speaking for myself, i'm not the only one in here telling people they are overreacting and actually feeding Samsung to make another one. i own apple products and i own stock - not once have i ever been offended by any of Samsung's ads. they never mentioned my name, why would i be offended. why are you so offended?

as far as your criticism of Samsung not making petty attack ads. i guess you forget the ads that Apple took out against IBM in the early days? or what about the "I'm a Mac" ..."and I'm a PC" ads (refer to the pic above in a previous post)

yes i'll admit that the apple is playing catch up in terms of features, but the real deal is apple is better at implementing it (ie. nfc) at the right time.

Exactly.

We always hear "OMG Apple doesn't have this feature" or "you're late... everyone else has had that feature for years"

Yeah... Apple may take a while to implement some features. But when Apple finally gets around to it... there's a good chance they spent a lot of time thinking about it.

For instance... Apple didn't just tick the box for "fingerprint sensor"

They took the time to make a "great fingerprint sensor"

Hell... they bought an entire company just for that feature. And that was a wise decision.

Oh come on... there are much better and funnier ways to make fun of the live stream. That is so not funny and uncreative. Otherwise, it could've been the first Apple-bashing Samsung ad that I actually like. :p

Despite all the predictable frothing in this thread, I think these ads were well done and hit the nail right on the head. I also thing the Note 4 is a great device, and certainly looks better-engineered than the 6 Plus.

We found the plant.

Sammy is getter better at their ads which isn't saying much.

Apple, on the other hand, is getting worse at the basics such as pulling off a live stream. 32 minutes to figure out how to remove the translation? Was there no one there to dike it out?

Rubbish brand this samsung..
They are pathetic..
I will never buy any of they products.there is always a superior alternative, whether it's TV,SD card, fridge, vacuum cleaner or anything these hacks make.

What else is Samsung suppose to market now that the iPhone has super sized screens now????

If I were Samsung… I'd worry more about the low-end Android phones that are beginning to eat up their profits than worry about Apple.

BTW…. I thought the Ad was stupid and pointless.

I do wonder what has happened in the world that a little humour wether you find it funny or not, gets people wound up so much.

As far as i can recall during the live stream macrumours first 40 pages or so where you guys moaning about how bad apple was, how someone should be fired. So its ok for "apple users" to say this but not Samsung. Come on people, that ad is not designed to sell products its good old fashioning ribbing.

As for those that comment its because apple was so great too many people hit the stream causing it to crash. Get real, as when the stream crashed we were shown the broadcast trucks timing slate. Thus the stream from the truck to the server was fine, the issues was from the building to the truck. As such didnt matter how many were viewing.

And Why try to reinvent the world, Samsung streamed Live globally, on the worlds biggest video network infrastructure, youtube in glorius 1080p. Why? well it just works! They didnt try to tie you down to their ****** browser only to watch it excluding many who do not wish to user safari..

Its a sad day when people get butt hurt so easily over a bit of fun. I love my Macbook pro its the best laptop ive owned, and i love my galaxy, do i get upset when someone mocks, nope, there are many more things in life to worry about than the above

The level of iFanboy butt-hurt in this thread is over nine thousand.

Question: if Apple is so completely superior to all other companies, if Samsung poses so little threat to Apple's overwhelming dominance in...everything - why do you feel the need to vent so much rage about anything they say?

I actually did watch the Galaxy S4 keynote ("Samsung: The Musical"), it was so bad it was quite entertaining.

after last year's samsung event I couldn't stand to watch another samsung event. I was so embarrassed for Samsung during their 2013 Note event. It was so bad. Only surpassed by their 2013 Galaxy S4 event.

I think the 2013 one was the worst...my goodness...I was watching a liveblog and posting on droidforums.net back then. It was hilarious to see everyone there going wtf.

Samsung is so out of touch, it's almost like they're playing a joke.

I agree Samsungs events are well, grand but very poor.

Then again U2 anyone?

Not rage. We just like pointing at idiots and laughing?

Cruel, admittedly - but they'll never learn if we don't. So it's a form of kindness, really. Tough love! :)

Typical Samsung ad. Preaching to the choir. You'd think they'd make ads that appeal to people who want to switch to Samsung or are on the fence. Their ads consistently insult potential customers. Well it's not like Samsung hasn't been tone deaf before.
