I despise negative campaigning where you attempt to win the battle by just pointing out flaws of the other guy. Let's see how far we can push the competition down until I'm i'm top.

How about telling me what's so good about your phone. The only thing that tells me is you have been listening to every Apple rumor and pushing out a rival a few days or weeks prior to the announcement.

They're pretty much saying, "Oh we have one too...". Proof is in the pudding.

Damn. These people are quick... Maybe they should focus their effort towards making their hardware better rather than... This.

Then again, their crazy marketing seems to have worked so far. I like Android, but gosh I hate Samsung.

Mabey two quick Apple and Samsung work more together than apart. Samsung has a vested interest in Apple doing well.

TheVerge is a well known for it's Apple bias. Especially of late since it's turned into a complete rag and clickbait site. Look at that title for pete's sake.

The Verge is a pro-Apple site? Haha hardly. They couldn't be further up Google's you know what if they tried. The site overall has gone way down hill. Too much non-tech stuff and way to much click bait. And the moderation on the site is ridiculous. Flame bait and trolling galore is just fine but complain about an article or click bait and you get warned by the mods or eventually banned from posting.

I think this is just more evidence that Samsung are ******** them selfs. When the Samsung Galaxy S5 released in the UK, the UK arm of the company were given the target of shifting 100,000 Galaxy S5's a week, they managed around 66,000, and still 1 year after it came out the uSwitch tracker has iPhone 5S as number 1 phone every month this year in sales, and 5c behind it. So Samsungs latest flagship handset was unable to knock off a 1 year old phone from number 1 spot.

Only reason i don't want Samsung to disappear completely is because i think competition and choice is good, but god there phones are complete junk. I paid £300 to leave my contract early so i could get rid of my Samsung Galaxy S2 and get an iPhone 5, it would get red hot, freeze/lockup, battery would last half a day if i was lucky, normally had to charge on my lunch and have dire call quality to name but a few things , and its a common thing i see happening on other Samsung phones after around a year.

You see, even that I disagree with. I've been using NFC payments for quite a few things for the past couple of years now and whereas I agree not everywhere has the infrastructure for it yet, many places do. And I don't see how Apple Pay is any way different from how it works on other NFC payment compatible phones. Never mind better.

NFC has been there for a couple of years now...even credit cards it... but let's all admit that without Apple finally implementing it and getting the three major credit card companies on board - it was not fully embraced by all... that's the point of what I said - apple implementing it at the right time.

Great comical ad as usual.

Any ad they make which makes the fans on here mad is a winner.

If this is the best Samsung can troll then they're really in trouble. Perhaps they should be more focused on the Chinese brands eating their lunch in the mid to low end market.

Oh I agree that now Apple have it, adoption will be much quicker. That goes without saying when a global brand adopts a technology. But that doesn't mean we should feel we owe Apple something for just taking features from the competition and making them popular.

Microsoft did the exact same thing in the 90s with the pc industry. And no doubt they're not very popular here for it. Ironic don't you think?

The problem is your average consumer doesn't even know what this commercial means. A lot of people didn't see the keynote live. Also, shouldn't they promote their own product? You don't even know what this commercial means.

I don't mind poking fun or taking a jab at someone, but make it whitty. Jeez.

Also I'm guessing if you've got millions and millions of people logging in world wide all at the same time to watch the keynote in HD and 4 different languages.....you may have a issue or two.
I however, watched it on my iPhone and it only dropped out 1 time in two hours.

They just mad because their keynote took place a week ago and no one gave a crap LOL.

Apple should do one of their own showing Samsung keynote generating 13 viewers and the techs behind the scenes patting themselves on the back for such great streaming performance.

well, whether we like it or not we owe Apple ... that's the problem here, everybody wants to 1up apple in terms of tech specs but the implementation is half-baked(meaning only a few embraced it) ... but now that apple is coming into scene, that's the story ...

The verge is not the only site that has chided Samsung in the past. When that gear commercial came out with the creepy skier, even android blogs were making fun of it. The outrage over the stupid keynotes they do were not limited to apple sites either.

It's all online for you to see. Sites like androidcentral, androidpolice, and droid life always talk about how silly Samsung's marketing is.

Why does everyone get so bent out of shape about Samsung ads? Who gives a *******? All ads for all products merely annoy me and are best avoided - nothing but a bathroom break opportunity.

Laughing I get. Those commercials are pretty lame. But if you don't think there's some serious rage going on, you're not reading the comments.

I think you're taking this too seriously. It's just an internet forum.

I ignore all the extreme stuff. So I guess you're right -in a way- that I don't read it. More accurately: I read it, but it has no effect on me.

I'd still hesitate to call any of this "rage". If anything, that in itself is an instance of the internet-forum hyperbole I'm talking about.

Lame, sophomoric, and a real-time example of a circle jerk for anti-competition is what defines these comments that, by the way, all came in within mere seconds to 3 minutes after this post went live. You guys didn't even have time to watch the ads before you grabbed your pitchforks and lit your torches. What were the Mac vs PC ads? They were hilarious ads where Apple poked fun at Windows. This does the same thing, and they were actually very funny. I'm still getting the iPhone 6 Plus, though.

No need to watch it, it's always the same just like apple's pc vs mac ads were always the same. The difference is windows is ****, every body knows, pc and mac users, but we still use it because we can't use something else, i play video games so i don't have a choice. Ask someone why he likes windows and he's gonna reply "because you can crack everything for free"

To be totally fair, I think that stream issue was overlooked by Apple.

I think they are trying to provide a live translation for the Chinese viewers but it was screwed pretty badly.

They should have tested it beforehand. And the lady was frantically trying to translate as much as she could.

Next time Apple should just provide the translate sub on the completed Keynote and no more shenanigan of live translation. The world is not ready for such an advanced technology yet.

Samsung should fire its ad agency if it's going to stick with the humor genre. The Onion was far more successful at its parody of the Apple Event and new products. These are just lame and trite.

It's okay, Apple will be the ones laughing all the way to the bank when they have record iPhone sales again.

I wonder how many customers will be jumping from the Samsung Galaxy phones to the iPhone 6 and 6+ because of the screen size. We will see.

Speaking of ads, you all have to admit the "wall hugger" ads are funny and do have a point.

Yes, they are funny. However, is the point that you can buy an extra battery for their phone? I believe the extra battery for the latest Samsung galaxy is $50. You can get a battery-extending case for the iPhone for a similar amount. Not sure what the advantage is for Samsung. It still costs money to extend your battery life.
