Also, the Mac vs PC ads weren't really about the users, they were about the experience. They weren't telling people "hey you are stupid if you are a windows user", they were telling them "hey look how much more fun you can have if you used a Mac instead, and we also have these cool, hip productivity apps yo".
Well done ad. Although I can’t believe Samsung spends so much money making fun of and insulting potential customers it then asks to switch.
Yes, this is the only logical conclusion here. Awesome rebuttal.
Yeah they did. One of the guys waiting in line outside the Apple Store has a notch-shaped haircut.they didn't... they showed the iPhone X ad at the end but.. never mentioned "notch" ... i think some X users are a bit touch about the notch... lol. if all apps would hurry up and update for it, the notch would never be spoken of again.
I think it’s more of the people who haven’t chosen a side, or might be considering leaving. They want to build the brand loyalty that Apple is known for, I don’t think the realistically believe they will get droves to switch.
Great for note taking in meetings, when u grow up and get a real job u will see.
The technology to write down a contact convert it into a regular contact and search for it has been around since the Palm Pilot
Perfectly stated. Samsung makes a good quality phone; but that is all negated by the evil google business model and exploitive Spyware OS that runs it.But you're still stuck with Android, which means Google studying every aspect of your existence for their benefit. That's been my major hangup. I just don't like Google.
Well they have a point I guess, although the majority of users probably couldn’t care less about a stylus.
"Ridiculing not a winning strategy" I have to disagree with you. You'd think companies would have learned by now that ridiculing the competition is not a winning strategy. As an iPhone user, why would I want to switch to a product from a company that has basically told me I'm an idiot for not buying their product I the first place? Nobody ever wins a debate by insulting a competitor. If anything, ads like this make Samsung look as though they are desperately trying to hang onto their existing base rather than expanding it. If they feel their product is superior, as I would expect them to, they should tout its superior features, not try to make people who didn't buy it feel stupid for not doing so. Apple got away with "I'm a Mac ... I'm a PC" because it was genuinely funny, but I'd bet they found that after a while, even that campaign became counterproductive. To win in the marketplace you need a truly superior product and good marketing that PERSUADES, not ridicules.
Last year Apple sold north of 200 million proablies... I mean iPhones. If stylus’s are all the rage, then SAMESONG
But if you’re heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem, there’s probably not a huge chance for most jumping ship to Android. I’ve nothing really against Android, there’s a lot I like about it. Unfortunately there’s enough I don’t like about it still that prevents me from having it as my daily driver.
These ads really aren’t meant for iPhone users - they’re preaching to the converted by highlighting perceived flaws in the competition. Very little of the Samsung phone is shown. It’s a good strategy.
