I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC????

Short memory?

#ADIB? (Apple Did It Better)

Sure we could even criticize Samsung for not even coming up with original ad ideas, but everyone here sounds like they're 5-10 (strong possibility) years old.

Does apps on android take advantage from having a 5,7" screen? Or they look like the same app on multiple screensizes? with just more empty space and bigger buttons?

This won't happen. Apple are above that.
Whereas the PC vs Mac poked fun, this Samsung c**p is tired and old. Making ads out of pointing out the competition is so 2000's.

Weird, when I saw the ad on TV today, I told my wife: "uh oh, Samsung is poking fun and rattling the cage again!"

It seems to be working!

Their lameness aside, I relish in the fact that :apple:Pay isn't something Samsung will ever be able to copycat -- it's such a precise and deliberate blend of hardware, software (OS), patents, business deals, existing assets (credit cards via iTunes), etc.

Peace, Samsung.

Hate to burst your bubble here, but Apple Pay is just an implementation of standard contact less EMV payments. Google Wallet is basically identical in execution and has been around for years.

New Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Commercial Attacks Apple for iPhone 6 Plus

So Samsung's point is that they had a 5.5" screen years before Apple. And that Apple just caught up? So Samsung with such a head start what is your innovative next big thing, just what Apple has now, in screen size?

There is nothing innovative about big screens, they have been around on computers for a long time. It's a decision not an innovation.

Not gonna lie, this is pretty true. This is just an endless cycle of fanboys/users defending their phones regardless of whether they are right or wrong.

You don't understand Apple Pay then.

No. I think the point here was that it was bashed on for its size... but now everyone tries to imitate it. It was one of the few for it's large size.

Why does MacRumors post these stories? They're just giving them free advertising at this point. I understand the stories about the actual products of Apple's competition, but why post the attack ads? What kind of good discussion is going to come from this article? Who seriously thinks that this article is a valuable contribution to this site?

Because it will probably be a 10+ page thread with 10K, maybe 20K views. Maybe more. Lots of clicks for MR.

Already 10 pages and 12K+ views. Not bad for an hour and a half. On a Sunday night. :D

Didn't Samsung come out with the slogan "The next big thing is here" when Apple had announced the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy 3 was already available? But the Note 4 isn't here... I'm pretty sure the iPhone 6 will be here before the Note 4.

"Hello. I'm a Mac."

"And I'm a PC."

Wrong.

Credit card via iTunes? Verses the credit cards through Google, Microsoft, Blackberry? What are you saying?

It's not meant for typing. Hence the Wacom digitizer. It's meant for writing. Apple shows off people using photo applications drawing with their finger. I'd take a pen. Which is why a search for "Apple capacitive stylus" yields millions of results.

Apple doesn't neutralize ads. They don't need to, either. Look at everyone buying an iPhone 6/Plus. People will buy into advertising regardless that it existed years prior.

Let's go back to 2007 when Apple copied off of Microsoft and Nokia. Remember those wars? Or Apple stealing ideas from Xerox Parc. Remember any of that or did history of technology not reach your end of the internet?

Well, Apple added NFC (existed on modern smartphones since 2010 in the Nexus S). Which, always did more than just mobile payments. But I'm sure Apple will release that next years WWDC.

Apple also touted the Apple Watch...That comes in 2015, undercutting your argument.

Nah, Apple fans are just easy targets.

Because you'll choose to use it more?

First, it's not necessarily Apple vs Samsung. Tim Cook said in the interview with Charlie Rose that they are rivaling Google. Also, the first touch screen smartphone wasn't brought to the market by Apple. It existed at least 7 years before the first iPhone came to market.

Nah. It's just funny to see the full support of Apple lovers stroke each others hair trying to make each other feel as though their getting something great.

Yes. I do. Because a company that builds more things has a better idea of the market. Hence the success of Samsung phones. The cool factor...? "Think different." Everything seems the same with Apple. Cool factor is being the same as everyone? Yeah. Okay. Looks like you are buying Apple products to fit in. Bad childhood?

What is Apple doing that Samsung is copying? Looks like the other way around. Welcome to a couple years ago.

The percentage of Microsoft computers is still dominating the market.

Another way Apple manipulates statistics for their gain:

Back when the iPhone came out, it was a success. A modern touch screen smartphone. Even though it lacked front facing camera (those existed before 2007), MMS (Steve Jobs said MMS was dead), multi-tasking (existed in Symbian phones and worked very well), app store (existed before the iPhone from other manufacturers too), it sold millions. Fast forward to the iPad. Steve Jobs said it was to fill the gap between phone and computer. It was never counted into Apple's marketshare of computers because, welll, it was a tablet. Then, when it suited Apple, they said a year later that OSX marketshare was top in the world. But, that is simply not true. Even if you did count all Apple "OSX" devices, it still doesn't come on top of Android. But, if you watch closely, they compare all OSX devices to just Microsoft PCs. So they took mobile statistics, and then started a comparison to all Windows PCs. How clever. And the media ate it up.
Cool story accept that so much of it is false I don't even know where to begin. Spend less time on Apple forums and spend more time with your device of choice. It's easier. We all know you just got here in Sept 2014 to troll.

Except Google forgot to get buy-in from major merchants and credit card issuers first.

Thats why MR does it. They need to keep people clicking on things.

Someone is afraid

But honestly, I will never buy something from SAMSUNG because I feel that they base their marketing on insult. I am not going to pay my cash to anyone who insults me or others:mad:

I wish Samsung fans would do their homework before they think that Apple is being burned. Samsung internally ridiculed Apple for the original iPhone screen being too large.
Keep grasping at straws.

1st: There is no Shamesung fans.
2nd. Mostly these people are just Apple haters hiding as Samesung fans/Andriod fans/or Windows.

Samsung and Apple work more together than apart. Samsung and Apple have all you guys fooled.

They are frenemies. Apple would love it if someone else had Samsung's manufacturing prowess. Samsung would love it if people bought their own branded products at Apple-like margins rather than getting supplier-type profit margins selling components to Apple.
